Mbappe has always played with a CF. Falcao at Monaco, Cavani/Icardi at PSG. Giroud with France. He prefers a free role rather than battling with CBs. Thought him and Jovic would make a good striking partnership in future. But Jovic himself has looked lost without a target man like Haller. Haaland should be top priority next season.

Wait. I thought "big transfers" are no-go for a couple of seasons? Or are we getting Mbappe and Haaland for peanuts? Like 50M for both?

 

I think if we compare of the revenue to Madrid and say a club like Chelsea we see a considerable difference,
Mbappe/Haaland could only go to Barcelona, Manchester United, Bayern, Man City etc
However Barcelona have been wasting a lot of money in the transfer windows and their target seems to be Lautaro as their 9.
Manchester United don't have CL, so players are unlikely to want go their.
Man City are still in trouble with UEFA so not sure about them at the moment.
Bayern is a possibility still for sure if transfer fees are reasonable.

 

The only ones who could afford Mbappe even before this crisis, were probably just Real and United. Okay, and Bayern but no way in hell they are splashing 200M+ for a single player.

I said that big transfers will happen in the future. Not that we will buy essentially every forward in Europe, as Marca and co. are claiming each week.

Mbappe transfer is happening in a matter of year and a half+, and being new spending record for RM. And you can quote me on that.

 

We will be selling some of top earners in the squad in less than 2 years. Such as Bale, Modrić and Marcelo.

 

And the rest? Your silence on them suggests you expect those moves to happen in the near future. Camavinga, Mbappe, Odegaard coming back. Are any of these far fetched?
