I've been working through some Apple TV stuff today and figured out a way to download YouTube videos to my laptop and then watch them across all devices. Starting to build a library of full games.
I believe you're correct. Which is why I rarely redeemed them. It was too far to get to Roosters the next day to order food.
Looking some things up in honor of tonight‘s airing of MLS Cup... I had forgotten that our top goal scorer only had 9.
Yet BTN shows old ESPN stuff. MLB Network just showed an old World Series Game originally on NBC. Then again, the Big Ten and MLB have more clout.
I'd imagine somewhere around the poker and fishing shows. At least from those shows, they can show commercials every few minutes. It reminds me of when UEFA CL games were on ESPN2. People would watch/record them, but they could make money by selling commercials for the time-filler shows. They weren't even beginning to make money by showing UEFA. Keep in mind this was late 90s, early 00s. They'd show one game every Tuesday and Wednesday for a while before going down to only one day. Eventually, they showed a game at 5 on ESPN Classic. For one season maybe, they showed AC Milan games on Thursdays. At worst, it's a tossup. At best? Maybe a few eyeballs. How many people were watching the timefiller last night on FSO vs MLS Cup streaming off a website? I'm just trying to be positive in a dark time.
Enjoying the rain game from last year. I believe we left before the restart. Thank God I wasn’t working. I remember a bad rain game many years ago, bucketing down, I’m convinced Etcheverry got himself a red card 17 minutes in, just so he wouldn’t have to keep playing.
There was a US Open cup match at Jesse Owen's. Can't remember the specifics, but Salazar was the ref and was so bad that a massive amount of fans gathered around the center tunnel stands after the match. Salazar would have had to make his way beneath them to get to the locker room. We kept chanting at him and said "We're not leaving". The Crew lost, but I objectively want to see how bad the officiating was.
I was there--pretty bad. And Salazar egged the crowd on a bit. They were leaving and would have been past everyone in 5 seconds or so, but he pulled his guys back onto the field, leading to more crowd involvement. This is the one when he made a really bad red card call, so then Frankie decided to show him what a red card was supposed to be by making a two footed tackle (and was promptly sent off too).
I was there too. The Dallas coach also had issues with Salazar that night and egged the crowd on. It was hot and humid and by late in the match, he was calling things from the center circle. That's how Szetela got the first red for a foul on Arturo Alvarez. Then Frankie took out Alvarez to show what a red card really was. He hopped up and ran off without even looking at the ref. I think that was also the night Eddie Johnson first called himself a grown ass man.
I think it was an OT loss to the Fire where for some reason we again got a red card. Edit: Actually, yes, as mentioned above; it was the loss against the Burn.
I was also at that game. It was the first time I had been in Jesse Owens Stadium. Salazar was HORRIBLE. That was pretty awesome that with our fate decided, Frankie, no longer giving a f***, goes in, studs up with both feet, hears the whistle, then just walks off the field without even looking up at Salazar. I remember all of us pissed-off fans hanging around the midfield tunnel like a lynch mob waiting for the refs to come off the field. But I remember hearing from others that what Eddie Johnson said was "you all make me rich!"
