We once barbequed a goat before one of the Quakes games. I had a couple of tailgate birthday parties and when my current wife and I were married, we had a wedding party before and after a game, taking the entire group to the game. In '76, we had visitors from Germany for the Cosmos game and we had a big tailgate deal with cracked crab, cocktails, etc. They couldn't believe Americans had such parties at games. One of them played semi-pro in Germany and really enjoyed seeing Pele.
Yeah we had parties at the Spartan Stadium back lot between 7th & 10th Street. The NASL players loved coming by to greet everyone but they wouldn't eat or drink until the aftershock parties..... I only remember a few during the MLS era. Mostly during the 1996 inaugural year. Can’t recall any after that...I attended a few catered affairs at Buck Shaw too but that was about it..

Nice article by Bobby McAlinden, who was a close friend of George Best and briefly played for the Earthquakes. https://www.the42.ie/bobby-mcalinden-george-best-5062294-Apr2020/ Best, Rod Stewart, and McAlinden.
Is that your creation, Falvo? I see both of San Jose's logo's are depicted. Whoever did it used Seattle's logo for the last year in the league, not their first 9 years.
