The market has fallen. Values of players have dropped.

Kane could be bought for 100 million when the market open.

However, I want Haaland / Jovic and Mbappe in our front line.

They were hamfisted and stubborn about Lewandoski as well.

    Doesn't make it smart.

Market values may not drop as much as we think. The likes of City and PSG may remain largely unaffected by the lack of fan generated revenue as that isn’t the main source of their income.

Well they are on their own island. Everyone else has been significantly affected and won't be taking big swings this summer.

The irony is those at City under long contract would most likely not have a way out to avoid the CL ban.

Bayern's offer was 30 mil. or so Keeping Lewandowski for another season was worth way more than that, especially considering how long it took to find a proper replacement.

So Lewandoski magically appeared at one year remaining on his contract?

That's when Bayern approached him. Why would they forcefully sell a player that doesn't want to leave? Because he might want to leave in the future?

So they were smart to only reacts after the fact? They shouldn't be proactive in their planning short and long term?

Why would they allow a contract to run down losing all leverage? I

Again, all you're doing is reinforcing my initial point. Throwing in the opinion "Keeping Lewandowski was worth way more than €30M" is subjective considering they were knocked out of the CL by us in the quarterfinals, ended up second in Bundesliga and only won their league cup.

Marca (Jose Felix Diaz) per usual know nothing.

Hakimi's agent (Alejandro Camano) came out and refuted the claims stating the player is still on the same contract he signed in 2017. He says he has heard nothing from the club but that is normal because the clubs operations are shut down. After this madness he said Hakimi's situation will be sorted out.

I have no doubt we are bringing him back amd Odrizola is gone gone goooone.

Anyways imagine being this wrong about something so black and white. So plain to see both AS and Marca have little to no connection to those who make final decisions in the club. For example they didn't speak of Camavinga till Frwnch sources leaked Rennes President was fired for trying to do a backdoor deal with Florentino for the player.

They are lost in the desert all the time.

Hakimi's agent to Spox.de about the Marca article:

"This escapes every bit of reality. The contract is at the state of 2017, which means it ends in 2022. We have to wait for this misery to end and then sit down with Real Madrid and Dortmund."

The player himself said he has had no contact with the club.

Bayern approached Lewandowski with the idea of sitting out his contract i believe even before the last contract year. That was their plan. It leaked, Lewandowski came clear, and Bayern made a few offers in the 30-40 region. We approached Dortmund with twice the bid Bayern made, and they allegedly agreed to our offer, but Lewandowski had agreed to join Bayern at the end of his contract, i don't know what you expect Dortmund to do? Ban one of the best strikers of his generation out of the team and pay him to sit? And then leave at the end of his contract regardless?

"they behaved immaturely and hamfisted" but this team was basically still the best since the Hitzfeld era. They got their money's worth completely.

You believe, but not proven fact.

Please provide a legitmate source of us offering twice the amount and Lewandoski refusing to join the club.

The only refusal I know of us Lewandoski already agreeing with bayern but having his head turned by Florentino. That was a free transfer.

Not allow their most prized asset to get to two remaining years without an extension. If he gets that close find an alternative solution quickly.

    That's how I would operate.

They got their money's worth by losing out on €30-€40M so they could come second in Bundesliga and get knocked out in quarters for CL?

Is winning the DfB Pokal worth €30-€40M?

They reality is they didn't get their money's worth in everything and just because they have done well as a whole doesn't mean they couldn't have done even better in certain areas.

They mismanged the Lewandoski situation just like they will get screwed by Raiola next summer and mismanaging this Halaand one.

You of course will say "what else could they do?". Well I am telling you today (not using hindsight) what they could. That is not accept getting bent over and be proactive this summer.

    Yawn.

Keep trying to frame everything that works perfect for Madrid as "the best solution for everybody".

Bayern have been plucking at Dortmund with Götze as well and with Lewandowski it was as much of a issue of a replacement, as it was an issue of saying no and sacrificing money for it. Obviously morals play zero role in us sports, but for Dortmund this was a matter of pride. Its the same way they held out with Dembele until they got what they wanted. They will hold out the same way for Sancho, and keep Håland until the buyout clause is activated.

    That's the deal.

Considering the way they won it, absolutely yes. If you would ask me if I'd want real Madrid to sacrifice 40 mil. to beat and humiliate Barca in a cup final the way Dortmund did then, I would say yes.

So he has two years left in his contract and AS were also wrong in their claim that his contract runs out in 2021.

The only yawn here is your spin.

On one hand you condemn teams citing the euros spent not equating to the value of a player for one season yet here you are in support attempting to validate with unsubstantiated rumors.

I'm sure you would celebration would be rowdy even as Cristiano leaves for free to barca.

    Keep defending the defenseless..

You have literally said nothing which supports why Dortmund shouldn't be proactive.

Fair enough, in that case then Jovic should suit us more than Haaland would, seeing as without a doubt we will already have another forward who “will” start in Benz,

so, our coach should try to get the best from him if possible, starting both, Benz won’t be on the bench, we know that, and Jovic who we already own gets to play in a situation that suits him, with another forward,

a better fit for us than Haaland if we look at it that way?

According to abc, Raiola wants to bring De Ligt to Madrid

I would say he’s definitely one to keep an eye on in the not so distant future. Probably 2-3 summers away though

Great marketing for the league as well. De Ligt vs De Jong
