Spurs were 3 pts out of 5th place when Poch was sacked. Spurs currently sit 8th place, 4 pts out of 5th place. I dont see much of an improvement or difference, granted injuries have been an issue.

    Guardian Article

In a crisis there is need for extreme measures. In a crisis there is need for a people to have faith in their leader, the only man who can save them. In a crisis the usual norms must be forgotten as the emergency is combated. Tottenham, in case you hadn’t noticed, are facing a crisis. Treacherous agents of the counter‑revolution are targeting their forwards, which is why everybody must be grateful José Mourinho is there to take the hard decisions. And speaking of enemies of the people, have you seen how Tanguy Ndombele’s been playing recently?

No reason to stay in London. Football's not starting up anytime soon, and they're probably going to stop training if they haven't already.

I don't understand. What is this based on and what does it indicate?

it indicates to what extent did a player score more or less goals, than if they scored exactly their expected goals (xG).

xG quantitatively measures chance quality based on factors like shot distance, shot angle, if it was a 1v1, if it was a header, etc, based off of historic shot data. (if a shot was taken and its attributes reflect a 10% chance of goal based on the historical data, its xG is 0.1)

so based off of his chance quality, SHM scores a lot of goals that the model thinks shouldn't be goals.

    some conclusions you could make:
    - SHM is a really good finisher
    - SHM scores goals that aren't historically prevalent
    - SHM's goals tend to come from lower quality chances

    Interesting analysis.

He sometimes gets complaints from fans that he misses the easier opportunities, but he scores so many phenomenal goals, hopefully that makes up for the missed chances.

Not if he takes care of his body like Ronaldo, Zlatan and before them, Ryan Giggs. Here's hoping he can stay healthy and maintain strength and flexibility.

Son also needs to move on. He's not going to win anything with these owners.

Revealed: Tottenham overtake Man City as the Premier League's 'most valuable club'... but there's a warning for Arsenal

Tottenham have overtaken Manchester City as the most valuable club in the Premier League, according to a study by the University of Liverpool.

The analysis, built around financial data supplied from the 20 Premier League clubs in 2018-19 to Companies House, revealed that three clubs were worth more than £2bn - Tottenham (£2.56bn), Manchester City (£2.18bn) and Manchester United (£2.08m).

Spurs were third in that particular table after the 2017-18 season, however, a combination of reaching the Champions League final, increased commercial revenue following the opening of their new stadium and a far lower wage bill than their top-six rivals, contributed towards their rise.
