I’ve just got the Madrid job on my fifth season, Bale was still at the club when I joined in the summer (I’m playing FM 2019) and after trying to force him out of the club and him refusing, I’ve just agreed a deal with Orlando Pirates for him to move in the Jan window for free. My jobs if anyone is interested have been: 1st season: Betis: 6th in La Liga, won CdR. Nice team, Lo Celso was great. Lainez was a gem. 2nd season: Valencia: 2nd in La Liga, lost CdR final, made it to CL semis. Went in big for Lautaro Martinez who was amazing. 3rd Season: Liverpool: Won the league easily with that attack, made it to CL semis. Only big name I bought was Saul for around €80m. Klopp joined Barca I think. 4th Season: Juve: Won the league, knocked out in CL last-16. 36 year old Cristiano got around 30 league goals. Rest of the team was alright but had declined. 5th Season: Madrid, 5 league games in. Attack consists of Rodrygo who’s turned into the best LW in the world, with Leon Bailey and Guebbels (youngster from Monaco I think), all around 21 years old and extremely good for their ages. Rest of my dealings have been back up players and selling dead weight to give me a 200m transfer budget for next summer. Zaniolo was bought before I came and is also elite, valued at €80m. FFP has gone out of the window, City are hoovering up all the talent including Mbappe.
That's pretty awesome. I don't think I have the patience for 5 seasons, I usually get bored after a couple of seasons, which yes, I know, defeats the whole point of the game.
Its not just the Liverpools and Man Citys though. Not getting the trophies they've wanted for a long time is one thing, then there's the money involved in promotion and finishing in CL places. There are a lot of teams that wouldn't vote to cancel. Its gonna be a mess. We'll see if sanity prevails after this more important health crisis is over.
I know what you mean. I go through patches of smashing it out when I have time and then not playing it for a couple of months. Changing clubs every season also helps keep it fresh. Although I’m looking at staying with Madrid for a bit now when I play again.

I thought i broke my laptop while upgrading the CPU. Ordered a new one, patched up the defective ribbon cable and put it back together using the old CPU. It worked. Found out the CPU fits but isn't supported by the thing. Now i have two of them. Wrote a small executable that solves a problem that my work had for about 8 years or so. Safe to say that i'm keeping myself busy with irrelevant matters. Old folks over here don't give a damn. No mask no gloves no NOTHING. On the other hand people in their mid 30s wrapped up up in plastic. Strange world.
