If you had done it France might have left last place.

Don`t trust them. They just want to prevent you from voting because Denmark is in the lead now. Remember what day is today.

The German Football Federation DFB has decided to fire men`s coach Jogi Löw only a few hours after the disastrous 1:2 home defeat in a World Cup qualifying match against North Macedonia which makes qualification for the World Cup 2022 in Qatar doubtful.

DFB president Fritz Keller said:"After yesterday`s match it was inevitable for us to react. I couldn`t find any sleep until we had solved this problem and I had a long discussion with national team director Oliver Bierhoff. We agreed that the only chance to have a successful Euro for our team would be a new coach and that this coach had to be available immediately. After a consultation with Horst Hrubesch we have decided to offer the job our women`s national team coach Martina Voss-Tecklenburg and after a short time to think it over she has accepted our offer. In case of a successful Euro we are interested in a long-term cooperation. Silvia Neid will coach the women`s team in the friendlies against Australia and Norway."

Keller refused to comment speculations that Wolfsburg coach Stephan Lerch whose contract with the German Champions ends in June is a candidate to coach the women`s team at the Euro 2022 in England. More details will be announced in a press conference later today.

What?!! Did they really just hire MVT as head coach of the men's national team? I had to read that part twice.

LOL! It was March 31 here in the U.S. when I read it, so I wasn't yet in 'fool's day' mode.

Seemed believable (and long overdue) to me as well until I read the MVT part

Apart from the fact that Germany unlike some other nations do not kick coaches in panic after one loss (at least not unless they was outplayed which they where not).

I so seldom follow men's football these days, that I didn't know yet about Germany's loss vs North Macedonia... and it actually was this part, that later I would have discovered being true, that was screaming "April's Fool" to me!

Isn't North Macedonia the birthplace of the USWNT current coach, Vltako Andonovski?

Should've been sacked after the 2018 World Cup (poor at Euro 2016 as well), not after 'one loss' (hence long overdue) ;) . Were 'outplayed' by Spain not too long ago iirc
