It would take a total (mod edit: we don’t use that word) to consider Giroud better in anyway than Benzema. The point was mocking your logic. You don't consider Mbappe better or would get better because he may think he's better then Benzema. By that logic I guess I understand why Benzema didn't get better since he may have compared himself to Giroud. It seems like it annoys you if I say Mbappe is better. It is the truth though.
Truth or not, its his opinion. On the one hand you have people complaining about the bland PC responses players give all the time, then when someone says what they think they get this much of a blowback. Giroud cant even start for a Chelsea that cant sign players, and if name the best strikers today, Karim is top 5, Giroud is top 50 maybe.
Giroud v Benzema is like comparing F1 to junior karting. Also, some people must have a huge ceiling for Benzema if they think he hasn’t lived up to his potential. They are even bigger fans of his then us @YOUNGSTARS87 Lol. Won every trophy multiple times. Top 5 CL scorer and in the top whatever (10) scorers in Real Madrid history. Real Madrid history. Those words mean something.
The problem with Benzema is that he never really kicked on from his last two seasons at Lyon. He was great back then because he was a kid scoring 20 league goals a season and 5 goals a season in CL, which is really good for a young player. But he kept at that level without really surpassing it for Madrid, which is where the disappointment is.
I must say even tho it means nothing but the rumor of Camivinga did distract me for a few mins from our new daily reality. A man can dream. Reminds me of normal days.
Where did I say I don't? @4x4s said that, I never spoke on that subject. All I said was Mbappe needs to learn more and grow. Then you get mad at me throwing haymakers and are mad at Benzema for saying Giroud is below him. Come on man..
Exactly. Get mad when they give bullshit responses then get even madder when they tell you legitimately what they and everyone else is thinking. Doesn't make sense. Give me this over fakeness like Klopp and barca culture any day of the week. I love the realness of some of our players (Kroos, Marcelo, Ramos. Benzema, etc).
For the record I didn’t say Benzema is better than Mbappe right now. I did say that Mbappe has a lot to learn which is what Benzema said in that interview.

At this point we can’t even doubt Juni, damn. But where will we play all these prodigies if the pan out. Good problems to have.

He’s got another 3 seasons on his contract. I expect another loan for him to at least raise his market value. His stock can’t be lower at the moment.
"100 million transfers are over" Manual to understand the economic blow. La Liga, Television operators and agencies analyze the new scenario. There will be no technical bankruptcy, but there will be great difficulties if the competition (season) does not end.
Barca apparently lost 60 ME revenue from in house merchandising already. RM/Barca home games bring in 4-4.5 ME per game from gate revenue. Clubs will be losing a lot of money this season. Apparently, La Liga will agree on wage cuts for players with consensus from all clubs.
Madrid is pessimistic and is considering a salary adjustment by Decree From the club they discard, at the moment, a negotiation with the captains or an ERTE: "The finances are robust". The directors at Real Madrid have not yet spoken to the players - the squad are aware of the situation - but they are studying possible situations in order to minimize the possible impact. As such, the club would not go beyond a 10 per cent drop in salaries, but only after analyzing everything that is happening in detail and making decisions together. In addition to the players Real Madrid have in their football and basketball teams, they have a total of 400 employees on their payroll. https://www.marca.com/en/football/real-madrid/2020/03/31/5e825aade2704ed0068b468a.html
This is understandable. All clubs will have to do this. These businesses cannot sustain at the current burn rate.
I wonder if the petrol money clubs will be as hindered as the other top clubs at the end of this, particularly from a spending power perspective. As we know, FFP isn't bullet proof.
They boosted their revenue by buying back merchandising rights. Ours are still under license so at least it's not the club that will suffer that knock.
