I watch the daily briefing from Gov. DeWine and Dr. Amy Acton and I can be 100% sure they are paying zero attention to what Trump says.

    Zero.

So when Trump says to open businesses back up, that won’t happen here.

The United Kingdom continues to undertest, ludicrously. It allegedly has only 17,000 cases, yet has had over 1000 deaths, including 260 yesterday. Per capita, its daily death rate is triple that of the United States.

Boris ********ed this up, no surprise there. The world elected populist buffoons at a time when it needed dull, efficient administrators. What irony.

It won't even happen in states where the governors profess open love for Trump. By Easter Sunday, it's gonna be nasty everywhere.

You can't have a vaccine before 1 year. You can't shortcut the length of Phase 1/2/3 trials that much. Who in their right mind would apply a vaccine onto masses of healthy people without due diligence ? If you're giving a drug to a patient who is in risk of dying that's a different story. You can give someone like that experimental drugs.

What you can do is when a vaccine is looking promising during trials, is to start producing that vaccine in numbers to prepare for "deployment". Because that takes time as well.

Perhaps the Crayola guy who wants to sacrifice his grandparents will be among them?!

Why in the world do you apply ethics and morality to the war time President?

The Pentecostal church near me has 10 confirmed, 43 addition who are sick but not (yet) confirmed from their March 15th services. Betcha that most of them voted Trump. I will also betcha that church doesn't convene on Easter Sunday.

The holocaust was horriific and evil. And those words don't begin to describe the depravity. On the dark side though, I've wondered if the Nazis in the dock at Nurnberg thought "this is rich, being lectured to by the United States, the Soviet Union and England about genocide."

We are more likely to find a moderately successful treatment before vaccine.

States Quietly Pass Laws Criminalizing Fossil Fuel Protests Amid Coronavirus Chaos
Over the past two weeks, Kentucky, South Dakota and West Virginia approved new laws meant to discourage Dakota Access-style protests. More are on the way.

I'm reading they have only tested around 120,000 people.

It's more likely they have somewhere around 60 or 70k cases in my opinion.

Am waiting for our lawyers to confirm that Presidents can't sign only the portions of bills that they like. It's all or nothing.

You’re confusing Trump with a president.

It is not and last night one expert was saying that it will be strike down by the court. A president can't veto a line item in a bill he signed. That is trumpian though.

“On the Global Health Security Index, a report card that grades every country on its pandemic preparedness, the United States has a score of 83.5—the world’s highest. Rich, strong, developed, America is supposed to be the readiest of nations. That illusion has been shattered. Despite months of advance warning as the virus spread in other countries, when America was finally tested by COVID-19, it failed.”
