Can't wait for the High areas to start to invade the Low areas. This is precisely why the New Jersey governor didn't want people from New York and Philadelphia areas to visit their shore houses, thus bringing the virus with them to lowered populated areas that don't really have the resources to be able to handle it when not in season. This administration could f*ck up a cup of coffee.
That is wonderful. Because people don't move or travel anywhere. All we do is go to the grocery store, apparently.
Domestic travel restrictions have started... Texas orders travelers by air from New Orleans and the New York area to self-isolate for a minimum of 14-days, or until they leave Texas, whichever comes first. https://www.texastribune.org/2020/0...ntine-air-travelers-new-york-and-new-orleans/
That's unkind. It would be nice to be the media darlings like Inter and Seattle and Portland and LAG and DC and LAFC. The most attractive footy ever played in MLS was played in 2018 by humble, loveable Atlanta United.
We literally have a tiny, two lane road running through the middle of our town called ... wait for it ... “County Line Road.” It would be a real hoot if Cook and DuPage have different designations.
I live a 2 minute drive from the Philadelphia city line. The creek that separates the 2 counties is at the end of my street. It was incredibly frustrating when the governor told the counties surrounding Philly to do one thing while Philly was doing another.
County Line Road around here is where all the farms start. One stop south on the Interstate and that is where we have Walmart, Target, Menards, Fleet and Farm...and Starbucks.
Yeah in general I see very few people who are being flat out stupid about social distancing etc. in my haunts of northern Marin/southern Sonoma counties. Of course as someone who's pretty much complying myself...maybe I wouldn't. But I still have to go in to work and people seem to be keeping appropriate distances, and all the surrounding businesses have either closed or significantly altered their policies to comply.
Here's the map of Lubbock City (yellow) inside of Lubbock County (orange): The vast majority of new housing is being built in the squares at the bottom left below Wolfforth. A huge chunk of the population work in the city and live in the county, and then there's two large school districts in the county and also take a few students from the city. There's no possible way to have an enforceable plan here without both cooperating (which they rarely do). Also, I do find the humor in a very red part of the state having towns named New Deal and Roosevelt (not pictured) in the county.
Well, I addressed you because you are the one who brought that comment to us. Whoever this Mr. Silver is, he is cherrypicking the statistics that make red states look bad when the reality is that blue states so far have reported the majority of cases of coronavirus. Just like we don't need to quote the idiots have been saying that it's mostly affecting blue states, based on overall numbers, we certainly don't need to quote other idiots who take stats out of context to say the opposite. I do agree that the president and some republican governors have been irresponsible in how they are handling the crisis, and that may sadly play a part in how it affects the nation overall and the red states, but so far it's been New York and New Jersey who by far have suffered the most, followed by Washington and California. This is fact, and it has nothing to do with the political leanings of those states. I'm sure you know the saying about lies, dammed lies and statistics.
You'd think big native NYer Trump would visit to see how the hospitals are doing. He being president of us all and stuff.
