The media now taking steps to save lives cause the President can't be trusted to inform the public honestly. What a time to be alive.

 

This is so outrageous. Not that they’re doing it....but that they had to.

I will never forgive the enablers.

 

You will have a great deal of company with that. This is as if the Joe McCarthy Era just extended and extended and extended, and Joe was the boss, not Ike.

 

They all knew. Even Les Moonves* flat out said it, "it may be bad for America, but it's good for CBS." They showed that empty podium, let him call into shows, all of it. And it only took four years for them to pushback. I'll defend journalism, but they all messed up on this.

 

This has to be a first among developed nations, to have a leader so untrustworthy that the media decides to actively block him out.

 

I think that is likely true.

 

They've been on my short list of forgotten for so long that it would be a waste of my time to go that far back just to forgive them. I barely know who they are anymore.

 

So the Never Trumper Republicans who cheered for the Iraq War, chuckled at Birtherism, the Tea Party and then Trump, do they just take up fly fishing or gardening for the rest of their lives? I know some like Conway, Schmidt & Wilson are trying to redeem themselves somewhat. But they're like big Creed fans 20 years ago who now say that they suck ass and they never were into them.

The nice thing about such events is that they enable you to save time in the future. Just look down that list. You know that you need never read any of those sources. In fact, if you see anything from any of those sources, immediately delete, given the high possibility of misinformation.

As it turned out, I already know those sites were trash. But maybe a site that I might have previously trusted, at least a bit, shows up with the same story. Then I know I can put it on ignore.

If we learn anything from this it should be that consumers are job creators. Consumers stop taking flights/cruises: those industries go broke. Consumers buy shit tons of toilet paper, groceries and packages from Amazon: those industries do well.
