Reading that Mnuchin will have oversight in doling out billions in govt. cheese. This can't be good.

And he has the balls to call it Ginese Virus while simultaneously saying he's upset that Asians are being abused by his Trumpanzees.

I've heard of a few reports of one woman in Japan but, AFAIK, it's a lot more likely that someone who'd been was tested and found to be clear with it being a false 'negative'. They were then tested again and the result that time was accurate so came back they were still infected but they weren't 'reinfected'... they were never NOT infected.

If someone has any more information I'd be interested to see it but I'd suggest that if people COULD be reinfected I'd I have thought it would be more obvious as at least some of the 100,000+ people shown as 'recovered' here would have become ill again.

    But there's another point...
Well, I'm getting different stories on this when I check the media.

The BBC said last night that the virus was very stable and, thinking about it, that would make sense as otherwise a vaccine becomes a LOT more complicated.

    There's also these stories...

I recall reading that this is not unlike other corona viruses in that your immune system will protect your for quite a while after kicking the virus, but that is basically for the season. If/when this comes around next season, everyone would be fair game again. Wish I remember the source of that, but it sounded reasonable to me. I was also reading about "herd" immunity, but don't remember details. I think that when enough people are out there that are riding the protection of their own immune system, the virus has a much harder time penetrating a population.

could it be that Trump's 'Chinese' virus terminology is a response to the Chinese Communists trying to shift the 'blame' for the virus away from their secrecy and incompetence to the US?

Maybe. But Chinese officials are no role models. Besides, they look like fools doing that.

From what I can tell Allegiant Air, which seems to function as Florida snowbird budget transport for people from an assortment of random small cities, uses it as a budget airline alternative for folks from Quebec. Their website actually lists it as "Montreal/Plattsburg."

Coming soon to a mental WH presser "I now call it the Soccer Virus. My son whats-his-name loves the sport...he's the best player in the DC area by the way. Not many people know that. But soccer caused the spread in Europe, folks"

It was the biggest soccer game in Atalanta’s history and a third of Bergamo’s population made the short trip to Milan’s famed San Siro Stadium.

Nearly 2,500 fans of visiting Spanish club Valencia also traveled to that Champions League match.

More than a month later, experts are pointing to the Feb. 19 game as one of the biggest reasons why Bergamo has become one of the epicenters of the coronavirus pandemic — a “biological bomb” was the way one respiratory specialist put it — and why 35% of Valencia’s team became infected.

It could be, as that would be a really stupid response. It has far more impact on Americans, and most notably, Asian Americans, then it ever would on the Communist Party in China. In addition, good or bad, China is in a position to actually help us with our outbreak, since they have just been through it themselves and as they have masks, respirators, etc. So, a stupid name-calling battle with them while he is a "war time President" is really pretty stupid.

Hey! I’ve just received a Dear Scouse Card from Donny Littlehands.

Its a set of guidelines on how to handle yourself during a pandemic For Dummies!

There’s a Yuge problem though. If Donny wrote this for me, then I am totally confused. There Is nothing on this card remotely similar to the shite he’s been pushing over Fauci on Telly!!!
In fact it’s totally 180 degrees off.

I wish people will stop calling the Chinese government Communist. There is very little, if any, communism about it. It is a dictatorial/authoritarian gov that uses the name communist to justify its rule so that the ruling class can benefit in a capitalist system.

The nursing home my buddy Terry is in has been designated the epicenter of the virus in NW WA State. With 19 positives, some serious and one death.
Attributed to one unsuspecting aid worker who travelled between several homes.

Tried to call him but it went to message. I hope he’s at lunch.

    Today's chart.

Our curve leaves me hopeful, but I don't know for what. Spain looks apocalyptic.

Also, Tom Cotton is going around demanding that China pay a price for unleashing this pandemic on the world.

You might think he's going to start a movement to force China to close its wet markets, which have spawned (I think I have this right) 2 serious epidemics in this century. I would applaud such a movement; yeah, nice tradition China, but join the new millennium and close that shit.

But he wants them to pay a manufacturing price

Do you still vape? I ask as there is beginning to be mounting evidence that it is nearly if not equally as bad.

Have worked around people who vape, the breaks are "shorter," but more frequent.

I realized mid-January that my diet was significantly lacking fresh food and fairly high in processed foods, and it was effecting both my sleep and my mood. Purposely I switched, making it a point to have more salads and fresh vegetables. In the past month, since the crisis has beset us, I have noticed that there is MORE fresh food available, and there are beginning to more limits on frozen foods (the last trip, frozen pizza and potato products were added).

    @blissett How are you surviving?

I'd love to see graphs like this for each state.
