He may not be wrong. It raises questions like “why am I here?” Is it to live as long as possible or to do my bit and then pass it on to future generations? We have been in a time of great economic expansion as well as longevity. Maybe they both are a bubble. I’m over 60 myself so not looking forward to the possibilities.

 

He is wrong and so is the President. China shut down for months. South Korea and Singapore shut down for significantly longer than we have. They were not destroyed. Their countries didn't implode. We don't have to sacrifice lives for greed, but we can certainly choose to do that. And if we do, it will show that we are truly as morally bankrupt as our President.

That's the thing about the baby boomers. They like to talk and act tough and pretend like they are their parents generation, but they are not. Trump tells us this is like war and this is as big a challenge as we have had since WWII. Can you imagine his parents generation on December 17, 1941, demanding to have a date certain when the war would be over. I mean, come on, its been 10 days already, we have to get back to our lives! John R is exactly right. They used up our planet, wrecked our health care system, and generally left this world worse than when they found it (or better yet, were handed it on a silver platter) and now their backbones of steel are wilting after two weeks?

It won't be total consensus. Those who oppose Trump the way the GOP opposed Obama are most certainly not morally bankrupt.

They're asking for a date because they're concerned about their wealth. You're talking about fear and indiscipline (that's what it sounds like) when you should maybe be talking about avarice. They're not necessarily cowards.

I'm a (very late) boomer myself, and I'm not asking for a date when this will end. I can do this as long as it takes for Trump's grand plans to go belly up.
