The Premier League is set to meet to set up plans for the remainder of the season. https://www.skysports.com/football/...clubs-to-meet-on-thursday-to-discuss-strategy
Doubt the season will be completed. Liverpool will probably awarded the title. That's fair give how far ahead they are. No teams will be relegated and the league will be 22 teams next year.
absolutely can't be 22. that adds more games to a season already under threat of being late. worse if the Euros get pushed to 2021. that would be madness
Can’t have it both ways... giving the title to liverpool and not relegating the bottom 3. In any case if they are awarded the title, it will come with a nice big
I mean, if we're want to be technical about it, should the league be suspended at its present point, Pool should not be awarded the title. I understand they might deserve it given how dominant they've been but mathematically they weren't there yet. Plus, as stated above, if the season is essentially voided and there are no teams relegated, it only makes sense that there wouldn't be a champion either. Very harsh on Pool but that's the reality of things. Bottom line though, right now I'm kind of chuckling at the thought of Pool fans chanting they were going to win the league when we played them a while back. That fanbase, more than any other in English football, should have known better than to count their chickens before they hatched. Thought they might go undefeated in the league: lost it. Thought they might win the Treble (or at least do a Double): that went by the wayside. But if all else failed, at least they thought they had the title, their first in 30yrs and nothing was going to stop that from happening. Well, look at where we are now. Clearly, God does not seem to be a Pool fan...
It's been one hell of a couple of weeks for Liverpool.. going into the Watford match on Feb 29, they were heading for the premiership title, an undefeated season, the FA Cup, and the Champions League... in a matter of days they've lost the unbeaten season, the FA Cup, and then the Champions League... now the title is even in question... yikes that's tough!
Considering we are 3 points ahead of your hallowed treble team of '99 with 9 matches still left to play...we can safely say we are the most DESERVED CHAMPIONS IN THE PL EVER!!!!...Losers in Man utd are so obsessed with Liverpool losing out on the title rather than trying to improve on the shit football your club has been playing for 8 plus years. How many of you secretly wish Klopp chose you'll over Us,instead of putting up with Garbage like OGS who looks out of his depth week in week out. Liverpool are deserved Champions and you can only dream to be at the Level of them right about Now. Ole's at the Wheel and have fun from the view at 6th.
Mate you play in a nothing league where you have minimal challengers. If Munich had to move their entire operations to the prem and actually compete in the transfer market like everyone else you’d be shit.
Hahaha..does your pea brain comprehend I'm talking about Liverpool now and not Munich...We deserve this title and honest posters here will agree with me, after all we all enjoy watching good football beyond clubs and boundaries.
four teams in the so called nothing league will comfortably beat your lot now...Bayern,Dortmund,Leipzig and Gladbach..I shall stick my neck out and say even Leverkusen,Schalke,Frankurt and the likes can beat your team with minimum fuss..If United were in the Buli its safe to say you won't finish in the Top 5 in the so called "Nothing League".Shows what a "Nothing" Team you are truly.
Persisting with Mourinho could lead to Tottenham's downfall. https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...ion-mauricio-pochettino-architects-own-crisis It's possible and perhaps even probable in the long run. But I'd venture that Mourinho and Spurs in general are one of the teams who are thankful for the league being suspended for the time being. They're decimated with injuries up and down their squad and were spiraling down after being eliminated from every cup competition they were in. Probably would have struggled mightily in the league in the run in also. Will be interesting to see how things go next season, but Mourinho may have a shot at redeeming himself, if they don't lose anyone major (like Kane for instance), given the fact they'll get their injured players back by then. Long term is a different matter, but it might be too soon to pronounce Spurs dead just yet imo.
