    Sancho Haaland Hazard

Game with pretty much no spectators results in a strange atmosphere. Let's hope we can reach the next round.

Much pressure from Paris so far but we had a decent chance just now. Besides that one good attack, we lose the balls too quickly.

Paris takes the lead. Not surprising the way we played so far. Too many easy mistakes. Just busy with defense.

Paris have lost interest in controlling the game after taking the lead, waiting for counter attacks. We had a few promising situations but no big chances and no real attacks that were executed with control and patience.

2:0 right before the half. Paris only do the minimum. We play really bad in defense/transition and make it very easy for them. They offered opportunities as well with lost balls, especially when they started very offensive minded, but in contrast to them, we couldn't use those chances.

Awful performance from Favre, who deserves most of the blame. After him Hakimi deserves a fair bit for switching off.

Once again Witsel badly, shown up, He needs to go.

Hummels has been excellent and Sancho has tried. Hazard not doing enough.

This is not a strong PSG lineup, Favre's stupid tactics away from home are costing us. There is a reason we have an awful away record. He sits back, invites pressure never presses and eventually we concede. This is not a team for parking the bus especially with Witsel there.

Despite his stats, Hakimi leaving won't be the biggest blow in the world. He needs to learn to love defending.

this is a mediocre club that is ran by cheap supporters. You get what you pay for. We shouldn't expect more than a 2nd round knockout every year until the fans pay the market price, like the english do.
we keep blaming Favre who is a mediocre coach, but who else were they going to hire? Who is going to coach a team that sells it's best players every year?

If Favre had any balls and idea about how to manage a top team, he would sub out Hakimi or LP, bring on Brandt and go 4-3-3. After that if things are still bad bring on Dahoud for Witsel.

The last shout is Reyna on for Hazard.

Should we somehow get through, I think it's a given that Tuchel will be looking for a new job. I feel that if we go out now, we'll have a new coach for the next season as well. We really struggled in some of the recent games. We shouldn't be that surprised when we don't look better against a team like Paris, despite the problems that they have themselves.

Brandt in his preferred position and at least it finally looks like we play football. Weakening the midfield is dangerous, of course, but there is no other option.

This is nearly all on Favre and the board for stupidly keeping here after last season, keeping him after the November winter break and then keeping him after December.

Pathetic showing against a weak PSG side.

How did Hakimi stay on? He completely lost his head after his terrible mistake, but stayed on.

Why were we playing 3 at the back with 10 minutes left?

Why didn't Brandt start in midfield.

Hopefully now everyone can see Witsel is a fraud. He is a 6/10 player, but is no where near good enough.

And we are out having played like shit. Not sure what the hell Can was thinking battling it out with the PSG bench. I don't think the Neymar scene alone would have resulted in a red. Even wasting all that time and hurting the flow is bad enough. An experienced player has to do better.
We just didn't look like a complete team and made way too many mistakes. Guerreiro, Brandt and Sancho tried but just like in many games last season, the quality counterpart to Sancho was missing. Too much rests on too few shoulders. Reyna isn't there yet and seemed overwhelmed with the situation at times. Despite that Haaland pass in the first game, it's just too early for the ko stages when everything around him isn't working perfectly.

This match had nothing to do with quality.

It was all due to stupid selections, awful tactics and setting the team up badly.

Favre is extremely cautious and always sets the team to defend. They have a terrible away record, because he sets them up to get beat.

He then tells them to be patient, when high level matches need to be played with intensity.

He plays the wrong players and refuses to change things.

Hazard should have been off after 60 minutes. Hakimi probably off at half time. Witsel should not be starting.

We must fire Favre now. We have nothing to gain from keeping him in charge. Farke is the man to take the team forward.

Look at us. Now look at Atletico. Look closely at their bench. What do you see there? A quality coach, a leader, a warrior, someone who has a winning mentality and is out to get what is his. Now look back at us. Look at our bench. What do you see? A spineless coward, whose clueless tactics and questionable selections continue to fail this team. Also take note at the board, who seem to be happy with mediocrity and some fans who are content with all of this. Congratulations for wasting such potential!

What we have seen in Liverpool are two of the best coaches in the world. In Paris there was only one coach...
If Farke is the man, I’m not sure. Saw the cup game against Tottenham, and he looked much like a BVB blueprint, especially in the first half

Farke? If we are thinking about that kind of coach, we are doomed.. Bring Rose, bring Salzburg coach.. Sorry, but someone who is coaching a mediocre team in PL, cant coach a superb team in Germany

I wasn't expecting us to go through. I was hoping and dreaming, but that's different. I agree that this loss will help with firing Favre. I don't agree he should leave now, but in the summer.

In terms of play, Favre has to find a way to play Brandt, Can and Witsel in the midfield. I think this would put better talents on the field, and the mid would have a good balance between defensive stability and ability to create. This could either be 4-3-3 or 3-5-2.

Hazard is often not on the same page as his teammates, and it's frustrating. I don't know if the 3-4-3 doesn't fit him or what.

Just move Can back to replace LP and Brandt can then slide in to his old spot.
