This is the only news outlet that mentioned him leaving and this rumor is based on hypothetical scenario. So supper rumor for now.

In case that it does happen Celico will most likely be coaching the senior team again. These first 2 matches are gonna be rough thats all I can say. I really wish FEF was preparing this team from every angle but in terms of call up date and friendly scheduallling there slacking.

Our call up is gonna be March 20. Less than 6 days to prepare. In reality that gonna be 3 solid training (If we are lucky) with the full squad. Cause not every player can immediately travel and get to Ecuador. Thats supper scary if you ask me.

Cruyff said he will call 4 or 5 BSC players. To me Martinez and Aimar are a must. Velasco and Pineida I feel Andres Lopez and Anibal Chala would deserve it a lil more over them but to me they are the immediate options behind them.

For a 5th option from BSC im not sure if he is considering Castillo or Vallecilla or even Maqrques or Diaz (If there fully eligible new Fifa law requires 5 years not sure if they fully qualify) but there are a number of better option compared to those 4 option in their respective spots. I dont think he should gamble youth like that on his first call up and we have a few DM and CAM to consider over Marques and Diaz.

IDV didnt get Recopa but there gonna face Flamengo again in Libertadores and Libertadores U-20 lol. There gonna get so much experience this year.

I was a little upset tho that they let Dajome go and signed Guerrero and Murillo. There was so many options for them to go after I would have aimed for some one younger with more potential or a bigger name than these guys. Alexander Alvarado, Joel Valencia, Cristian Penilla, Jefferson Montero, Jeison Chala, Joao Plata, Manuel Balda, Jose Ayovi would have been way better and perfect for IDV.

And for Univerdidad Catholica I was expecting a lil more for them tbh. Also it sucked that Aucas got Eliminated at the last minute I was expecting them to advance as well. They faced hard teams tho. Lanus and Velez. Macara upset me a little I had very high hope for them to advance lol.

Emelec and BSC are doing great I cant wait to see Liga and IDV in Libertadores. This years Libertadores is gonna great.

Honestly I lost all respect for Jaime Estrada and Fransico Egas I respected what they did in Manta FC and Universidad Catholica and had hope that they would be would be a nice change for FEF but they been amateurish in some aspect. We looked so dumb and stupid letting news like this get out. It seems like they let some one sweet talk them into signing Cruyff and let some one else do all the negotiations to sign Cruyff we could hav easily lost so much money and been with out a coach.

Also any one check the FEF webiste they changed it and removed all tournament info and FEF cards. I used to love the tournament info and FEF cards. FEF was probably the only organization I know of that had so much open and easily searchable info for every registered player. I can find info on everything up to the U-12 players and U-12 tournaments. Search up any player I wanted to get info on. It was so great. I hope they bring that back

    Players left out:
    Juan Cazares (Injured)
    Renato Ibarra (Injured)
    Anderson Julio (Injured)
Bryan Angulo ( Not getting enough playing time or scoring goals to merit a call up if he changes that he coud be considered next call up we need FW)
Carlos Gruezo (Just came back from Injury has been benched since)
    Ayrton Preciado (Injured)
Romario Ibarra (Just recovered from injury yesterday)
    Jhojan Julio (Injured)
Diego Palacios (Didnt get any playing time last season only played 2 games so far for LAFC)
Sebastian Mendez (Got benched alot last season hasnt played any matches recently that I know of)

Xavier Arreaga I know I put him on the list but to me he doesnt merit the call up. Had a pretty bad season last season if you ask me he played 2 or 3 games recently with his team but to me he still hasnt earned a spot back. I have a gut feeling Cruyff will call him tho.

Vs Argentina i think we should go with experianced players. Cruyff has never had any experiance like this. He is gonna implement a new playing style and I think experiance on the field can go a long way. I think down the line Orejuela and Sierra should be our starting mid Leon and Arboleda starting defense.

    Domiguez
    Ramirez, Achilier, Arboleda, Estupinan
    Valencia, Sierra
    Mena, Bolanos, Castillo
    Caicedo/Valencia

Dam I really wish BSC and IDV werent in the same group lol.

Some players that are coming back on the NT radar:

Bryan Angulo: 90 Min and a hat trick in Copa MX. If he keeps this up he should def get a call up soon.

Anderson Julio: Recovered from injury more than a week ago. Played one game 40 min and I believe 90 Min another.

Carlos Gruezo: Finally got playing time 90 min recently:

Sebastian Mendez: 90 MIN and man of the match. I just really want to see consistency from him so he can get the call up because he is a great player. Same for Palacios. Played the Concacaf games but got benched in the MLS game.

Another name to mentio for the future:
Gabriel Cortez: Debuted with Botafogo if he consolidates him self and get constant playing time he should def get called.

Renato Ibarra recently recovered from his injury and was slated to get the call-up, but he's been mixed up in some legit insanity out in Mexico.

As fans, we should be very open and candid about these things and denounce players when these issues arise. Spousal abuse/domestic abuse is a major no-no...and too much riding on the line to risk a career over squabbling.

That being said, I'll be interested to see what our lineup looks like.

Argentina's calling up the big dawgs.

Yea bro so many of my family members got sick luckily everyone recovered. But alot of Ecuadorian here in Queens are getting sick and dying. It crazy.

As for FEF there is no clear leadership or organization. There all over the place and are looking amateurish at best. This is gonna be a pretty mediocre cycle till some one new steps in.

Ecuador for the most part has talent...you guys do and I do have respect for you guys. I always have so that being said, for this 2022 qualifying cycle, if you guys truly want to get back to the World Cup...your players are definitely going to have to step it up because you guys have a capable enough side

If Ecuador were to somehow qualify for Qatar, then what would be your lineup? What would it look like?
