I have no idea what summer rumors you are talking about. The only "rumor" I heard is that a japanese player was going to sign for Real Madrid, and it happened, and it's crazy - this isn't Abe with Barca B.

Before the transfer, I was a skeptical, Kubo has always underperformed in the national team games, I can agree with that. However I now have to admit that he's the real deal. I'm really not sure what games are you watching, but I can't believe you are watching Mallorca's games.
Eredivisie level? What the heck are you talking about, since he is starting in La Liga?
There are just 9 players in La Liga who are <19 and playing (some more, some less).

It's hard to overstate how bad this Mallorca team is - almost as hard as sitting through one of their matches. Promisingly, in Kubo's sparse opportunities on the ball he will often surprise the viewer and opponent with a moment of quality or imagination to beat a defender or set up a teammate in a better position.

Then Rodrygo is the new Messi right?

    16 matches: 1 goal, 1 assist.
    But he can dribbling.

    Whoosh.

How many blown assists including missed penalties? You need to watch a game or two to get the sense of what is going on.

I dont think his teammates use him too well watching the game away to Granada. Kubo barely got involved.

It's still an improvement over the beginning of the season. At least the Mallorca players are looking for Kubo now, they just lack the quality and vision to execute.

I watch the first game and it was enough.
Ugly team fighting to avoid the relegation zone but as that Korean troll said Kubo first season in La Liga is much more similar to Lee's season in Verona than others.

No, but it's likely that he's better than Kubo. So what?

Thanks for confirming you haven't seen him.

That's not how players are rated. He's not even a centre forward.

Kubo cuts in from the wing and fires a shot which deflects to Cucho Hernández who scores the opening goal at Betis, then Take pops up on the left side of the box to deliver an assist to Budimir. Mallorca leads 2-1 in the first half.

To me the encouraging thing was that Take looked very effective sparking counterattacks as well, carrying the ball forward and creating time for teammates to overlap into space. Nice adaptation to his team situation.

His best game since joining Mallorca. He showed very good teamwork, and contributed both offensively and defensively.

This is what he can do when he stops focusing in showing his individual skills and starts playing for the team.

Fun fact: Top U-19 point scorers in La Liga

    6 Kubo (18, 3 goals & 3 assists)
    5 Fati (17, 4 goals & 1 assist)
    3 Vinicius (19, 2 goals & 1 assist)
    2 Rodrygo (19, 2 goals)
    1 Losada (18, 1 goal)
    1 Lee (19, 1 goal)
    1 Nino (19, 1 goal)
    1 Sancet (19, 1 assist)

By the way, Kubo's body strength is much stronger than people think.

He is gradually overcoming his shortcomings in a very short time, which is impressive.

Let's hope he keep on improving.

Tonight he will play in the same side opposite of Messi.
Let's hope he will give us some good gif material.

He played very well despite the defeat.

The scoreline doesn't reflect what happened in the match. Mallorca had more shots on and off the goal but some bad finishing and some very good saves from ter Stigen (he saved two shots by Kubo, which might end up as goals if the goalkeeper was not as good as ter Stigen).

Kubo showed courage, confidence and sharpness against such a powerhouse, and he could end up scoring a goal or two tonight.

He lost the ball in a critical position against de Jong in the first minute of the match, which led to Barcelona's first goal, but overall he was very impressive apart from this ball.

Kubo certainly can play as a starter for a team playing in the top half of the table in the Spanish premier league. I think his best option right now is to be loaned out to a team like Sevilla, Valencia, Villarreal, or Real Sociedad next season, as I think playing for Real Madrid next season will be counterproductive.
