We should lock this thread until 2021.

Idk about that; we can still talk about it when updates come around between now and 2021.

Also this sucks as I was planning on spending my terminal leave in colombia for this tournament. Maybe next year I'll be fortunate.

I guess I'll spend my travel funds on cryptocurrency...

What are you talking about; Messi will retire by then and thus no reason for political interest in this sport- Oh wait I forgot about Neymar.

It was more of a sarcastic joke.

But there won't be much to talk about until 2021 other than the official date they reschedule and maybe some stadium renovations or something.

I have mentioned this already but there is no more Confederations Cup.

As for the Copa America and its future it is scheduled for 2021.
The next one is scheduled for Ecuador in 2024 and the next one 2028 but anything can happen.

Hey this isn't a joke... this is VERY serious shit; the virus that is.:coffee:

And thankfully 2021 can be a bit of a blessing in disguise as when the virus eventually settles down the players can have more time developing and better prepare themselves. I personally prefer if we have more matches (if possible) this year before going into next year's tournament.

    You silly guy.
Suggesting to lock a thread is not serious at all. No need to go bonkers.
But anyway, I hope and prey for the best when it comes to safety for everyone involved with this tournament and in general.

Some things in this thread have nothing to do with the Copa America.

Keep the politics in the appropriate thread.

Maybe this is a blessing in disguise as downtime for our players can allow them to better prepare themselves for next year...

Yes, this is a win for us if James smartens up and gets playing time somewhere. So long as Zapata keeps his form another year.

It will be interesting to see how many teams just bring "B" teams because they will be focused on Qualifying which is a bit more compact now due to corona.
