like I said good team but not
Elite like the current Portugal side.
I’m a professional scout and also coach youth teams, I know what I am talking about.

Not being funny but you come across like a right Pratt by stating you’re a professional scout and also coach youth teams, so therefore you know more than anyone else! Not a good luck on here if I’m honest!

That’s my take on things ... a few years ago nearly every outstanding player I noted was a Belgium guy ..now it seems they are all Portuguese !

It will be interesting to see how the lack of form or struggles of certain players has affected their performances for England. The likes of Pickford, Sterling, Chilwell have been below par for a while now. I think the Sterling case is interesting as being played on the left has been given as one of the reasons for the drop off this season. However, I draw parallels with the Rashford situation earlier in the season, when he was being played out of position at United and really struggling. Southgate gave him a chance on the left against Bulgaria, he scored, the confidence came back immediately and up until his injury, he never looked back. I'm hoping something similar will happen with Sterling.

So Sterling is better on the right than the left?

I thought his goals all came from the left in the last two yesrs at city?

I'm just going on what City fans have said. I would've thought he'd have been on the right more though as I thought Sane plays on the left when he's fit. I thought one of City's trademark/template goals was Sane running in behind the right full back and sliding a cross to the far post for Sterling to tap home.

Yes I to think Portugal has a good chance (And i'm not even a pro scout and have no idea what i'm talking about ;) ). But no better than England.

I was a pro-scout once. I had all the badges- cooking, running a bath, knots, camping - the whole lot.

All sport suspended in Italy until April 2, obviously the friendly game isn’t in Italy but in England but I wonder if it has any bearing on the game.

Can't see that it won't. Obviously most of their players are based there.

The irrationally hostile reaction to any supporter of another national team in here is embarrassing at times.

Yes, I mean City forwards as well. Sane, Mahrez and B. Silva never produce the numbers he does.

He came across pretty arrogant imo, he could easily have shared his views which is no problem and he’s welcome to but not sure why it was necessary to add ‘ I’m a professional Scout and I know what I’m talking about ‘ into the mix other than to be belittling.

Sane has been injured for about 10 months so we should cut him some slack :)

The other two are rotated with all the other midfielders ..

Grealish just cant shine in this villa team, he needs to leave in the summer. Hes done brilliantly considering the rest of their squad is a level below

Like Foden yesterday, wasted out wide in games like this, needs moving into the centre where he can at least try and influence the game. Dont really know why he hasn’t moved inside tbh.
