Thanks bud I’ve actually been here for a few years but I don’t use forums very often. I was the guy who supports the Scottish team Kawashima came to, Dundee Utd so I was keeping you guys updated with that. .....not good times haha
Watched Groningen 0-1 PSV today. Itakura with a flawless display as centre-back, did not commit a single mistake defensively and also provided good passes to support the attack. He has been playing as CB for a while now, I hope Moriyasu is already considering him for the main national team over Naomichi Ueda.
You caught him at a good time cause he was out of the team for a while. He's still a little bit too sloppy overall.

League has ended in Scotland and Hearts is relegated. Too bad Meshino kind of vanished after that impressive start. https://web.ultra-soccer.jp/news/view?news_no=374809
I think you could say his season was somehow positive, right? I just hope to see him like at Rangers or in a more competitive league.
I don't think so. https://www.edinburghnews.scotsman....g-hearts-curious-case-ryotaro-meshino-1571834
Yeah, but the change of coach and the consideration of his role - not encouraging they're framing him as a midfielder - might have had some impact on his season.
Itakura will have a great company at Groningen next season, as Arjen Robben joined the club for the 2020/2021 season: ARJEN ROBBEN = 🔙 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚➡ https://t.co/D5R0JKwGjp#Arjenvolgjehart #laatonsweereensjuichen— FC Groningen (@fcgroningen) June 27, 2020
Itakura had good stats last season. 63.3% - Ko Itakura won 63.3% of his 139 duels in the 2019/20 Eredivisie season, a team-high and the ninth highest in the league among players with at least 1000 minutes. Locked. https://t.co/taVGzkkFKR— OptaJohan (@OptaJohan) July 24, 2020
After a promising start he began to struggle in our league so suggesting he should have been in a more difficult league is a strange one. There is definite talent there as he showed early on but he struggled to impose himself in matches after his strong start. It’s a mucky rougher league than people think. I think most Hearts fans would agree that the change of manager was bad for him.
Meshino joined Portuguese club Rio Ave in a 1-year loan deal: 1300735181876350976 is not a valid tweet id
Good move. Rio Ave just lost their top scorer in Taremi so they'll be looking for someone to help make up those goals. Also they are in the Europa league qualifying round and could make it into the group stages which would be a good experience for Meshino.

Meshino's Rio Ave will travel to Turkey to face Besiktas in the 3rd qualifying round of the Europa League next Thursday. Meshino wasn't part of Rio Ave's squad which won tonight's 2nd qualifying round match.
