I'm really sensitive to caffeine. I avoid it after 6, or at least to 5+ hours before bed. I feel tired and fall asleep much more easily at bedtime since making that change. A dessert coffee after dinner is in order this evening. Grabbing that now.....
I don't know if mods care or not. But I've completely eliminated Twitter and had a couple extended FB hiatuses over the last few years due to political bickering. If this keeps up, I very well may do the same here. I can handle political discussion, even used to enjoy it a lot. But for some it's not a discussion, it's name calling, and reading this forum the last week has been a chore.
Was blinding by the Keita sighting but yes let’s see Diaz burn up some field turf too. Still think a close loss, maybe a draw is the more realistic finish but screw it, let’s take 3 points from these neon green losers who should have lost to the Fire last week.
I dragged my butt down to Missing Falls because I want to encourage any local places willing to put the Crew on. As of yet, I don't see many Crew fans here.
Thanks from all of us with kids already in pjs with one already sleeping and the other one who may or may not make it to kickoff. Agreed. But I bet she will get through it.
I guess the poll already closed and it might be considered abuse of my mod powers to reopen it for 20 minutes but I'll guess Crew get a useful road point tonight.
I rather agree that soccer and politics should be kept separate. Thus my comment about the political flags in the Nordecke last week. I hoped whoever hung them up was on here and would explain why. But it's been crickets apart from a poster in NY.
I highly doubt it's camera nerves, given that she's been a broadcaster for four previous seasons. More likely is that she's still learning this team and that's the shakiness you're seeing.
I'm just relieved that Porter made that choice - giving credit, the one @TrueCrew mentioned - while leaving Williams as a (flexible) sub. Plus, slotting in Diaz. Keita played well for us last year; he's young, but an MLS quality center back. Plus, even with Vito getting the night off, we have guys like Mohktar, Cadden, Adi and Etienne on the bench. Tonight will be a challenge, and I'd be more than content with a point. Starting the season against NYC and Seattle is no easy task, but hey, you have to play the tougher teams in the league at some point. Might as well get these challenges out of the way early on to gain a better measure of how good we are.
