  1. Cause NE blows.

    They missed 3 gimmies.

Very lucky to get a point.

More fun to watch than pretty much the entire season last year. Still defense needs work. Good things are coming good things

I hope that Boris Sekulić is not Sekusuck.

Also, I have decent hopes for Stojanović in midfield.

Well...lucky as hell but that Bornstein goal was two great passes and an amazing finish. For now that will keep me happy considering we do not have our entire team yet.

I won't be happy until they show up at Soldier field with 4 points on the road

Considering NE blew several point blank chances, considering our only goal was a Fire rarity a header goal and that from a defender, considering we are still missing Sapong, Stojanovic, Sekulic, and Aliseda I am happy with a tie.
Kappelhof earned his money today. What a great goal from Bornstein.

    Mikebsiu and harrylee773 repped this.
  9. Good:
    Gaston
    Pineda

    Good effort:
Herbers great effort but technically limited
    Medran
    Frankowski

I expect more from Mihailovic. Medran has been better than I expected.

    Ok:
    The rest

    Bad:
    Calvo
    Bronico (not 100% his fault)

I'm surprised NE didn't attach Bronico more. Everytime they did there was danger.

I heard more than I saw of the game today due to life stuff, but I’ll rewatch a little later just to see the game. I am really impressed with the broadcast team though, actually sounds like professionals assigned to a major market team. I have no idea how Arlo White fits into this booth (honestly don’t know I’ve ever heard him before) but I like what we have so far.

BTW .. the team transitioned to a 352 after GAston came on .
Pineda showing he can possibly play sweeper at this level...
    Not going to lie...
Sekulic and Frankowski as wing backs excites me.
Medran and Gaston.... this is could be a great combo .
I think this team may be deeper than some of us think .

When the English football season is over White takes the place of Serens.

Oh, thanks- wasn’t sure if they’d try a three person booth or rotate or what but I really liked Serens so hopefully he has a role during that time, too.

Missed the game. Was helping the Chicago Curling Club retain the traveling trophy known as "Dolly Tartan"

I love the fact that the tv team weren't obvious homers. They called the game and called it fair. Meola mentioned a few times at the end that the Fire were fortunate not to give up goals because of poor finishing. Well done.

One thing I have noticed since coming back into the discussion post-Hauptman. You guys are generally pretty hard on Djordje. I did not see the whole game today, but he was a huge part of the goal, and was involved in a late build up after that that could have resulted in a goal. From what I saw, I thought he played pretty well. Maybe he is associated with the rot that had become the Fire, but the guy is still only 21 and it is hard to argue that he is the best player produced by the academy to date. I'll watch the whole game later and see if my opinion changes.

When Arlo is in the booth, the kid will report from elsewhere, sidelines, etc.

Arlo White is an excellent announcer.

Supposedly his plane arrived this evening, so he's in town and may be available for Orlando.
