I thought the same watching live, and because Heath is known to draw fouls and look for them.

But rewatching it, I think it was a foul:

Start Dunn in Lloyds place and put Short in Dunns place, boom perfect!

She's known to waste her chances, too, just like Lloyd is. She does have speed though, and I think we could use some fresh legs and pace out there.

I agree with that. But, so far, we have not seen her at CF. I want it, you want it and probably several other people want it but none of us are the coach and, so far, the coach has not really given her a chance. But my statement stands, "we have no proven center forward better than Lloyd."

Anyone else hear that as a kid Press was required to take 1000 shots in her backyard before dinner?

Once again the ref proves she does not deserve to be a ref.

BTW: Press scores BUT I think that her finish was not as good as it looked because I think there was a slight deflection that slightly redirected the ball and gave it the spin it needed.

And while I was writing Lloyd finishes quite well.
    2-0 for the USA.

48' 0-0 RB Williamson joins the attack, touches to box top wide right, floats a cross too far, just over endline left.

50' 0-0 Press(?) backheels to Lloyd at 13m mid-right, Lloyd must stop and stretch left to pull ball in. Lloyd spins ccw to 8m mid-right, shot blocked over endline right.

51' 0-0 USA right ck, to 5m center. Horan lunge-jumps from 6m center, heads over bar and body-bumps Houghton(?) aside.

52' 0-0 Williamson(?) slips a pass from arc top wide right to Parris lurking behind Dunn at 10m mid-right. Sauerbrunn (first time I even noticed her) steps up, blocks shot off her back over endline right.

53' 0-0 England right ck, cleared to box top center. Heath collects, dribbles away from Stanway. Stanway reaches up and tugs on Heath's right shoulder, Stanway's right fingers get caught (uh-huh ;)) in Heath's free-flowing ponytail, tugs Heath's head back and Heath sits down. Foul, Stanway helps an incredulous Heath up. R1 is having (seeing) none of it :D

I think England has made a HUGE mistake. They made the US mad with a few dirty fouls. In other words they poked the bear.

53' 1-0 Lloyd receives facing away at 30m mid-left, turns and passes to Press facing away at 24m arc left. Press sees Telford at 6m center, shoots right instep bend and curls it around Telford's dive, perfectly into right side netting 3/5 high.

55' 2-0 Press digs a square pass to Horan at 24m arc left. Houghton, Bright, and Walsh step up to box top center, Lloyd comes back to 15m, 1m ahead of them and onside again. Horan dinks a soft pass to 13 1/4 left, Lloyd settles, shoots left instep over Telford's left hand, into back right edge 1/2 high.

62' 2-0 USA subs in (1 of 6) #15 Megan Rapinoe for #23 Christen Press.
65' 2-0 England sub in (1 of 6) #10 Jordan Nobbs for #8 Jill Scott.

Um, no. But if so, she meant to do it. :p

But really, I think the spin was coming off as she hit it. I also think she knew as soon as she struck the ball that it was going in.
