Kane needs to leave Spurs, he deserves far better and will never win anything there.

The amount of hate on kane from other sites is staggering. Clearly the most underrated striker in the world

You're absolutely right. This forum is tending to overhype every teenager who had a few good Premier League-matches, be it Williams, Saka or Tomori. Thankfully Southgate is much more consistent.

Southgate is too safe minded and he sticks to what or who he knows. .. like Barkley and Alli probably even Dier ..
He’d be still picking John Terry if he could

Dele Alli and Dier have not played for England since the Nations League. Barkley hasn't done badly for England lately..

Forgot about this from earlier today but apparently Southgate has admitted he was wrong about what he said and presumably the way he went about dealing with Smalling and the criticism of him. Maybe an indication that Smalling will be in the next Squad?

Based on what I've seen of him at Roma, he really shouldn't be back in the squad. He's doing well primarily because he isn't being asked to do the sorts of things with the ball that he was with United and England.

I think it will be Thursday 19th March at 2pm if they follow the usual method.

Apparently Hudson-Odoi has a hamstring injury now.

He hasn't even publicly thrown a bone to Grealish. No words of encouragement. Absolutely nothing. The way he has played this season in a terrible team deserves some recognition. I find it very strange.

    In November he said:

"He's very close, he just has to keep playing the way he is, and if we had issues over the weekend, I wouldn't hesitate to call him into the squad."

You can just see what’s gonna happen .. He picks Grealish , Maddison , Winks , Henderson , Mount and Foden .

Then the next day the Euros get cancelled :)

According to some Scottish site, Guardiola is looking at gilmour, surely foden isn't going to be down the pecking order again after a player who has made 1 decent performance.

It’s more likely a load of nonsense tbh. Plus they are different positions so wouldn’t really effect Foden anyway.

My bad Jenks yeah I do remember him saying that now. Well hopefully he is in for Italy and Denmark along with Foden.

Sure, I didn't deny that at any point (not sure where you've gotten 4 positions from though), but do you not think it's a bit unfair to expect an 18 yo to be adequate cover in multiple different positions in the national team? If he sticks to being a LB and continues doing well, then maybe he should be considered, but I just don't think it will do the player any favours to be called up at such a young age as a utility player.

Personally, I feel like he's still defining what type of player he'll be, and he's still developing. The england senior team isn't the place for that, it's for the best players in the country who are the top talents in each position. Why not put him in the U21s first as a pure LB, and see how he does in that position in a different team and on a different stage?

No way is Belgium a favorite without Hazard while Vertonghen and Alderweireld have gotten worse since the World Cup. Germany plays too wide open for my liking. France would be the favorites if they weren't decimated with injuries.

Defenders always turn it on in internationals .... look at flamin Lovren who suddenly becomes a Spartan warrior for his beloved country

Belgium lack serious strength in depth. Who replaces hazard? Who would replace de bruyne if he was injured. I think we have more strength in depth in certain positions. Admittedly Belgium's midfield is far better than ours right now. If lukaku got injured they would rely on the Chelsea striker.

Thorgan is a nice player, but is by no means the same as Eden.

I feel Germany are being very underestimated in terms of this tournament. They have game changers in addition to a relatively balanced side, will be desperate to prove a point after the WC and are starting to hit form individually when you look at the way their key players are performing in the CL such as Gnabry, Werner, Kimmich etc. I actually think France and Belgium have regressed if anything given Hazard has struggled for fitness this season in Belgium's case, whilst the likes of Pogba, Kante, Griezmann, Umtiti etc aren't as formidable as two years ago due to either form or fitness issues. However, they obviously both possess extreme quality still and will remain a major threat in the summer.
