Could be good news from an England perspective with first Kane and now Rashford expected to be back fairly soon and hopefully fully fit for the Euro’s if the tournament goes ahead. Still, things can change but at least hopeful.

Hate to say it but that headline is clickbait. Essentially Rashford's scan has come back positive, but he is still expected to be out for a couple of months according to Solskjaer. Kane however does look more positive now, he could even play up to 5 games before the end of the season according to Mourinho which combined with the pre-tournament friendlies could get him into a reasonable shape/rhythm, but long way to go yet I suppose.

Looks like Jose has made him the captain, for today at least.

Be amazing to have kane and rashford back. With them we have a chance of winning it

I would go for a midfield attack of winks grealish Henderson kane rashford and sterling . That team would score goals against anyone

To be honest, if Rashford does make it back then great, but we'd be mad to start him over Sancho. I can understand it with Kane as there is nobody that comes close to him in his position if he's at his best, but Sancho is one of the best players in Europe.

Agree but rashford is proven at international level at the moment. Great option to have on the bench though

I think we need to see everyones form and fitness at the end of the season before for we pick a front three.

Anyway of getting all 4 in there? Without it being too much of a sacrifce for the midfield etc.

Only if one could play as a 10? I don’t see how unless Kane drops deep

    ..........rashford
    Sancho..Kane....sterling

    midfield would be vulnerable

England's pros and cons in one moment. Dreadful defending from stones but great delivery yet again from grealish

What happened to Sterling... he’s just mediocre these days .. Foden has been fabulous but he’s wasting his life away on the bench

Just as Grealish was getting to grip with things Fernandinho took him out in that aerial collision .. still looks as though he’s struggling..doing a lot of stretching off the ball

That would lend to round pegs in square holes,Like when Sven was manager.Play who evers in the best form and then bring whoevers left on as an impact sub. Someone like Rashford againest a tired defence would be lethal.

I thought the United Everton game was very interesting as it could play a major part in our future goalkeeping situation. Pickford made yet another error for the Fernandes goal, his 7th official one this season. Whilst at the other end, De Gea was also poor once again and United fans are starting to turn on him. Given they have Henderson waiting in the wings, he could be called upon sooner than expected. Southgate was also at that game today and I feel Henderson becoming United's number 1 would put Pickford under even more pressure. Particularly as I believe Ancelotti will dispense with Pickford in the summer. I have said before that Pickford is still probably safe for the Euro's, but I'd be very worried beyond that if I was him. He needs to step up big time in the summer if he is to retain his place.

We'll have a chance regardless, and we won't be favourites regardless. Obviously we all hope they're both fully fit but a front three of Sancho, Sterling, and (probably) Abraham is still very dangerous.

It's probably the most open Euro's in years, I don't think there's any clear favourite for it. France probably have the best squad but quite a lot of their team has suffered for form/injury, their midfield in particular. Then beyond the other top sides have Belgium with their ageing defence and Hazard potentially missing, Spain don't have the quality of their glory years though still a very decent side, Germany are probably being a bit underestimated at the moment but certainly have their weaknesses, and Netherlands/Portugal both have a mix of very good talents breaking through but with some very average players making up the numbers. Our nemesis Croatia always take a talent squad too, though, at the risk of jinxing things, I thing they've declined quite a lot since the world cup - certainly Modric looks in steep decline.

Then obviously England should be competing, but we all know the relative strengths and weaknesses.

Would we still say Abraham is top of the pack for best of the rest? Dominic Calvert-Lewin put in another fine performance in front of a watching Southgate.

We will certainly be one of the favourites. Attacking talent wise, theres only France and Belgium who can match us, possibly Portugal too. Provided kane and rashford are there

I don’t see us as favourites like you suggest tbh, just think it’s a bit early for our young squad. Germany will be a force come the Euro’s imo, they can have plenty going for them in attack with players like Werner, Gnabry and Sane for example and there midfield is equally as good. I will have a sneaky bet on them winning the whole thing.

Nah. Man for man we are better as long as kane and rashford are there. Their defence like ours is poor. Attacking wise and fullback wise we are better

I must admit that I was dismissive of Germany's chances a few months ago, believing they had declined and had a long rebuild ahead of them. This was supported by their poor results following the world cup and the loss to the Netherlands a few months ago, in addition to them looking poor against Argentina when I saw them in the Autumn. However, having seen the way Bayern played the other day, in addition to the form of Werner and the fact they still have Sane to come back, they look a scary prospect again. Bundesliga clubs could dominate the CL this year and all of a sudden the picture has completely changed for Germany with the emergence of Gnabry, Werner, Havertz, Sane still to come back, Kimmich possessing real quality. They also still have some fantastic experienced players should they wish to call upon them and will be desperate to make amends for the world cup.
