this was a fantastic goal by 01 attacker Romano of Duisburg U19.

Duisburg 1st team are 2BL promotion candidates and Romano was involved in Winter camp with them where he scored vs 1BL Gladbach, where he used to play at.

Stoke City’s under-23 side progressed to the knockout stages of the Premier League Cup thanks to a brilliant 4-1 win over Southampton at Clayton Wood.

Gabriel Kyeremateng netted a hat-trick and Andre Godfrinne completed the scoring as Stoke sealed their progression from Group E with a match to spare.

with Bayern already 3-0 up vs Hoffenheim with only 16 min in. Let's hope that OBM makes his 1st team and 1BL debut today in 2nd half. Otherwise why bring him along when U19 played today and II yesterday.......young players need as much game time as possible.

German clubs are ridiculous, over and over this season clubs trash other clubs and the young players continue to be unused bench.

Bayern leads 6-0 and uses the last sub on Hernandez. I'm sure if Flick plays OBM in attack, Hoff will comeback and score 6 goals, LOL.

OBM should have played with U19 who barely beat Ulm 1-0, better than unused bench.

how does one get game time when it never seems like right time? At this point, I stick with my old prediction that Bayern won't play much youngsters until the title is won and you end up with useless games. Then in Summer they will go on shopping spree and will declare the youngsters as not ready and either get loaned out or be backup players who are there for injuries/suspensions and spend whole season in II.

-02 CF Beier being unused as his team got trashed 6-0 makes more sense than OBM not being used.

-00 DM Keitel finally makes his 1BL and pro debut as he comes on the 46st min vs Dortmund in a 1-0 loss. Kept clean sheet in his 46st min. Although seems like he got chance due to Haberer being unable to continue playing.

When was the last time that Keitel was called up by Germany? LOL, believe it was the 2017 U17 WC that was almost 3 years ago.

N.Schlotterbeck played 4 min as a sub while Tempelmann and GL-Itter were both unused bench. I get feeling that we could start seeing more and more of these 4 as Freiburg isn't in relegation danger and could play bigger roles next season. They got some interesting U19-II players as well.

-Some Olympics as Lowen, Richter, Uduokhai (unused) and Neuhaus were involved in a 3-2 win for Gladbach.
Lowen scored vs Gladbach to make it 1-2.
    https://streamja.com/dmerA

Richter with an assist vs Gladbach who are supposedly interested in him.

    U17
    X2: Rolke, Seidel (04),Tohumcu (04)
X1: Frommann, Wasilewski, Mata (double digits), Yildirim (04), Tesche, Kesik,
Tahirsylaj, Homik, Pawletta, Nouwame, Asante, Ademi, Kukanda, Frauendorf (04),Bahr, Lassig, Mehicevic, Fust, Roggermeier, Bauer, Schemat, Voller, Geller, Feldmann

-Not only does 05-Ibrahimovic keep starting for Bayern U17 but today 05-Wagner made his debut as sub.

U19 (only 1 game is played tomorrow)
    X4: Nankishi (double digits)
    X3: Consbruch
X2: Schroers (one off double), Dahl, Woltemade, Dinkci (takes tally to 21), Velasco, Temin
X1: Meikis, Eyibil, Finger, Zorn, Loune, Civeja, Gollnack, Matanovic (03),
Tloczynski, Spreitzer, Winkler, Tekin, Tomerius, Ziemer, Yesilay, Okoeguale,
Thiaw, Ozden, Lemperle, Voloder, Schmid (03), Hartwig (2 off double), Wentzel,
N.Meyer, Martel, Wosz, Schroder, Roscher, Seifert, Tillman, Lockl, Caciel, Hoffmann, Herm, Heck, Selutin, Atubolu (GK, LOL and looks to have scored opener), Weisshaupt, Schade, Ezekwem, Fabisch, L.Schmidt, Ibraimo, Zalli, Kalac, Dervisevic, Sylaj

    OL
Stuttgart II wins 5-0 and extends their lead on their quest to get promotion.

    RL
    Schuler (3rd), Appelkamp (8th), Bornemann (4th)

look at that Bornemann and Appelkamp both start together for once and both scored in a 2-0 win. Bornemann is the one who doesn't start much and already one of the top scorers along with Appelkamp of the team. That was FD II's 1st win since Nov too......

on another note, lol Furth beats Stuttgart 2-0. Our German youngsters are better than your foreign youngsters, take that.:p Bauer, Tillman and Raum were all in XI for Furth while Jaeckel was 57th min sub while Kehr and Lungwitz continue to be unused bench. While 02-Torlak made his 1st ever squad for Furth 1st team and with that add another 02 making career progress. From their U19s Torlak, Leweling (already 3 goals and 1 assist in 2BL but currently unfit) and Miftaraj were always the players they rated the most. Maybe 1-2 other interesting players from U19 too. While Stuttgart only had Massimo in terms of German youngsters....

    Update, 02.
-Pro contracts: Consbruch, Sterner, Adeyemi,Oeynhausen, Thielmann, Otto, Gollnack, *Rohl*
-Made Pro debuts: Consbruch, Adeyemi,Thielmann, Woltemade, Egloff, Beier
-Unused Pro bench: Gollnack, Oeynhausen, Samardzic, Torlak, *Lang*, *Bisinger*

*---* indicates 3rd Liga clubs. Although with Ingolstadt being 2BL promotion candidates Rohl's team could be higher level.

Woltemade, Egloff, Beier, and Samardzic are all players who should sign pro contracts soon.

-02 GK Atubolu's goal today lol, opener in 4-1 win vs Hoff U19. He's rated by Freiburg and has already played 1st team in friendlies.

-speaking of 02 Adeyemi today, goal and assist in 3-1 win vs 2nd place team in Austrian 2nd division.

    takes his tally to
9 goals and 8 assists in 14 games in the 2nd division. Adeyemi is in 4th place in scoring table of the league. Not only is he youngest on the scoring table but he's also played 2-4 games less than the top 3.

sucks to say but feels like Salzburg seems to sees him more for next season. One reason why they wanted to extend his contract and the head kept talking about how Adeyemi will still play for Liefering in 2nd half. Always sucks when player is forced to play lower level because the 2nd team is struggling and lack of space in 1st.

    -Raum and Furth's win.

looks like regular LB Wittek seems out for awhile, was injured during the game and seems bad. Wonder if chance for Lungwitz???

I just realized why Tillman and Adeyemi were left out of the U18 DFB Camp.

    U18 DFB Camp=March 1-4.
    UEFA YL=March 4.

with Salzburg U19 and Bayern U19 playing this Wednesday makes sense why they were left out.

01 Attacker Weisshaupt of Freiburg U19.

I recall back in Fall when he supposedly signed pro contract than deleted his post. Said it before, don't trust any pro contracts unless it's on the club site or twitter. Too many young players can't seem to tell difference between pro contract and other types of contract.

anyways Weisshaupt has been on scoring spree in Feb 2020. Playing role as club trashed league rivals Mainz 5-1 and Hoff 4-1.

of course for club like Freiburg everyone plays II before any 1st team. Smaller clubs want players with adult football experience.

will be curious to see how Weisshaupt, Schade, Kehl, Kehrer etc from U19 do in adult football. Schade has already played 4 RL games (1 goal and 1 assist).

    99-J.Meier update from early Feb.
"Meier a young player who is in the middle of the process of getting used to"
Jonathan Meier (20) is still without a Bundesliga appearance. "There were also inquiries with him," says Schröder, although the situation is different from Awoniyi. Because before the season, the Rheinhessen had firmly committed the full-back from the youngsters of FC Bayern. Means: Ultimately, you do the player development for yourself, not for a foreign club like Liverpool. And apparently there was no club among those interested in Meier, in which Schröder & Co. saw the appropriate practice guaranteed for the left-footer. "He is a young player who is in the middle of the process of getting used to - some go faster, others slow," says Schröder of the plan.
    https://www.kicker.de/768929/artikel/awoniyi_es_gab_und_gibt_moeglichkeiten_

let's hope him and GL-Itter make career progress soon.

-I thought these were interesting words from Fruchtl.
"However, I would say that the difference between youth and men's football was greater than the difference between the 3rd division and the Bundesliga."

that seems to be the reality, it's why we see career 2BL or even 3rd Liga players performing in 1BL. It's the jump to the men's area from youth that seems to be a bigger deal for majority of players not as much the level of the league. Once players start to adapt at pro level that's when it starts to click. Although some players take or need more time to adapt than others.

-Unterhaching coach Claus Schromm, on the other hand, was disappointed with a "deserved defeat", saying that Bayern II is"just too quick for this league".

it's because the Bayern II players's level is NOT 3rd Liga. II teams are only allowed 3 players over 23 in matchday squads, so most of the team is youngsters who are playing below their levels or potential. Faster II secures 3rd Liga safety the better. All of these guys like Fruchtl, Mai, Kohn, Yilmaz, Stiller, Kuhn, OBM,Dajaku, Arp etc none of these guys are 3rd Liga level, that's not their ceiling.

but it does help players dev better than RL ever would.

I almost throwed my TV out of window when saw Hernandez came as sub :mad::mad:
********ing hyprocrite from Bayern management. You are right, as if OBM came and Hoff suddenly score 10 past Neuer.
Lets wait and see, typical KHR and Uli and now Kahn will sprout ********ing bullshit like "we always trust young player" "our young player have tremendous potential" horseshit....

it's worse due to Flick making early subs with the Cup midweek in mind and even then no chances for OBM.

I think it's an all German problem. No one plays the back ups anymore or even gives them much chance. They are just on the bench in case of emergencies but aren't there to be used, aren't there to be give any chances. It's like they don't want the players to get used to the 1st team. And why you always see them play 1st teamers instead of youngsters. It's why coaches have to make real space for youngster on 1st team aka integration, any player who makes 1st team inconsistently is likely to not be used.

I don't think Flick is that nice towards young players, 100% better than Kovac but not great. He seems to keen on transfers to positions that will likely block others. If he had his way there would have been transfers in Winter. Now seems like he wants transfers in Summer. I mean Zirkzee is doing well but from Flick over past few months, even past few weeks, it didn't look like he really wanted to use him, lol, like he preferred to have a Lewa older back up. That's issue with Bayern there is more words spoken about youngsters than real trust. As they say "actions speak louder than words". The club makes it seem like no one is ever ready for the 1st team even when they get proven over and over how wrong they are.

to me Flick was hit with the I NEED results to get this job bug aka prefer to use older players only.

  16. Young Germans should go where they really get playing time and chances, just cross our border:)

    U17
    X3: Kastanaras
    X2: Koster, Cabrera, Decker
X1: Gundelach, Kuhn, Sanogo (04), Laupheimer, Grimbs (04), Deniz, Lee, Kojic (04, one off double), Kowalski, Diehl (04, one off double), Nadjombe, Urso, Kettig,
    Breuer, Fadeev, Suchanek

-Diehl and Kojic look to be the only 04s in West that will hit double this season.

    U19
X1: Moukoko, Knauff, Wolf, Wirtz (03), Fesenmeyer, Thaqi.

    Dortmund drew Bayer 3-3.

-Moukoko is now only one goal away from tying the U19 record of 33 goals in a season as he's currently at 32.
-Look at that Wirtz is big game player, 1 goal and 2 assist in 3 games (could be more assists than that) for a new club up a level. Also 1 goal vs rivals Dortmund and 2 assists vs rivals Schalke.
-Wolf scores his 7th in West and Fesenmeyer his 6th. Fesenmeyer has established himself as a super sub lately. Will be curious to see where Lotka, Lamti, K.Bukusu, Ruth, Gadicke, Azhil, Fesenmeyer, Wolf and Anapak end up come Summer time, there is no II team.

    RL
    Taz (11th), Broschinski (6th), Zehir (1st), Carstens (2nd), Alt (7th), Njinmah (1st),
    Faber X2 (2nd),

lots of RL games are being postponed these days.

on another note, 01 CB Jakel makes his 1st ever squad for the RB Leipzig 1st team but of course unused. While 98-May continues with 4 unused bench for Wolfsburg.

I think the issue with that is
1-feels like majority are home sick types.
2-Too many seem too overkeen on making it in Germany. By the time they move a bunch of years pass by.

it makes sense you grow up watching 1BL since it's your league and dream of playing there so your focus as a player is to make it there. Even though players should just go to where you have the best chance at high level playing time.

the German pyramid scheme is honestly shit, that's what it is. Forget the players who jump directly to 1BL or the ones who are viewed as 1st team prospects and need like a year to year and half in RL or loan before they jump to 1st team. For everyone else you have to take detour by a bunch of years before you get to 1st division.

Bayern tried a few years ago to make loan deal with Eredivisie club but it never panned out.

looks like Mascarell (Spaniard) is out for the season and Kabak (Turk) is out for awhile at Schalke.

seems likely that Wagner will have to rely more on Boujellab and Mercan while could be more chances for Becker and wonder if 01-Thiaw gets a 1st team call up due to Kabak being out?

03-Wirtz has indicated that he also picked up assist besides his goal in the 3-3 draw vs Dortmund U19 (Bakir was unfit for the game).

takes his tally in U19 up an age group to
1 goal and 3 assists in 3 games.

In terms of new 03s in U19 up their age groups. Not looking at the ones who've been in U19 since Summer.
-Wirtz, 1 goal and 3 assists in 3 games.
-Matanovic, 3 goals and 2 assists in 4 games
-Schmid, 2 goals and 1 assists in 4 games
-Sanyang, 1 goal in 2 games
    -Calhanoglu #3, 1 game
-Bruckner (LB/RB), 1 assist in 4 games. Started last 4 consecutive games for Bayern U19.
-Musiala, 5 games, started last 4 consecutive games

speaking of up their age groups, seems like 05-Ibrahimovic has adapted well in U17. The 14 year old even picked up assist vs rivals Stuttgart. Between Kabadayi, Copado, Wagner, Ibrahimovic etc those are interesting attackers.

99-Musel update, who's been out all season. Can play CM/AM/CF.
Torben Müsel: The 20-year-old offensive player came from 1. FC Kaiserslautern in 2018, but is still waiting for his first professional assignment for the Fohlenelf. Müsel has been struggling with knee problems since summer. Game practice seems unlikely for the time being even after recovery. An extension including a loan may become a topic.

at this point this season is mostly lost season. Let's hope that he gets to play some RL this season. Wonder if he has time to be U21 consideration next season or does he fit the too late category.

just sad, 98-Mayer is just like Hack constant injuries, should consider change of scenery in Summer.

Like Mamadou Doucoure: Florian Mayer also suffers
Regionalliga West: Borussia Mönchengladbach remains unlucky.
Not only is Mamadou Doucouré's misery almost limitless at Borussia, Florian Mayer, as a central defender, is certainly not lucky.

After pausing for a year because of a serious knee injury, he played the third game in the U23 after the long break last Friday when he suddenly lay in front of the penalty area with an expression on his face. The very fact that he had to be supported from the square betrayed nothing good. The next day the certainty through an Instagram post of the sad Borussia. "I am still speechless. I suffered another serious knee injury yesterday in the game and will be out for a long time. It is the next hard blow in such a short time. Nevertheless, I will give everything to come back, ”writes the 21-year-old, for whom it could hardly have been more bitter. Because again he has indeed torn the cruciate ligament.
It wasn't that long ago that Mayer was not that far from the real leap into the Bundesliga. He was there several times, together with Jordan Beyer, in the training camp of the professionals, and on April 1, 2018, he experienced something that no one can take away from him: his first Bundesliga game. For 19 minutes he was on the field at FSV Mainz 05 under coach Dieter Hecking, the game ended 0-0 - not bad for a defender. The wait for a second national game, for example in Borussia Park at home, has continued since then. On the one hand, there was one or another normal form fluctuation at this age in the native of Essen, and on the other hand the aforementioned injury followed.
With its 190 centimeters, Mayer has very good conditions for the defensive, and in the games with his participation the team had seemed more stable recently, conceding only one goal in the last 180 minutes - by penalty. With a total average of almost two goals per regional league game, this is a step forward. So it struggled more against Bonn on Friday in the game forward. A Florian Mayer, who would have come closer and closer to the old form in the second half of the season, would have been a bargaining chip for Arie van Lent and the U23 defensive. But nothing will come of it this season.
    https://www.fupa.net/berichte/borus...ie-mamadou-doucoure-auch-florian-2620221.html

it means he's likely going nowhere next season. Now there's a player who it's likely too late for any German youth levels by the time he's in higher level he's likely to be like mid-20s.

thought from beginning that Mayer, Benger, Hanranths, Herzog, Hoffmanns, Steinkotter,Cirillo are all players who need career progress in Summer. Of course I think if they stay in Germany more likely to be 2BL-3rd Liga.

-Yesterday 98 GK Bansen played in 2-2 draw in Belgium 1st team club Zulte.
Man of the match: Eike Bansen fulfilled his task as replacement for the injured Sammy Bossut. The young German goalkeeper looked like a magnet for the ball and worked out with various clever saves. He had no chance on the hits of Moffi and Tuta.
    https://sporza.be/nl/matches/voetba...ep-nederlaag-in-de-derby-tegen-zulte-waregem/

he's future #1 anyways, Bossut turns 35 in August.

-today, 99 GK Moser kept his 3rd consecutive clean sheet for Cercle Brugge, beating 2nd place team Gent 1-0. When he moved there in Winter CB where in 16th place out of 16 and now have moved to 14th place after 4 consecutive wins. 5 goals conceded in 6 games and 3 clean sheets. Looks like he had some big saves today vs Gent to keep the 1-0 score.

at this point Cercle should try to buy Moser, they got buying option too. And makes me wonder if there will be more interest from Belgium in German young GKs?
