Reyna? No. Vassilev came up, played when 2-3 of Villa's strikers were hurt, and was lauded by his coach mainly for his effort level. He wasn't particularly productive in his few minutes, either and didn't really show off an EPL-level skillset. He probably still has some work to do to be a regular starter on a mid-table EPL team. This isn't to put him down; do we have any strikers who would win that job now? Reyna is in a different scenario. He was loved by his coach, his organization and was getting minutes even before the injuries. He's been goal productive in limited minutes and flashed a skill set that can clearly play at this level. We don't talk about Reyna's effort; we talk about his strike to the upper right corner or his spot on pass to Haaland. He was getting time over Hazard when Reus and Brandt were healthy; I bet he continues. But his time probably goes down a bit overall just with it being a bit more crowded.
I don't think so. He was in the 18 and getting minutes before Reus and Brandt were hurt. Favre is an unbelievable fan of Reyna.
Yeah it is interesting. Favre basically goes out of his way to not praise any player and with Reyna it is basically the complete opposite.
There is no way Reyna gets the Indiana treatment. Here is here to stay... but I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't always the first sub on once Brandt and Reus are back in the squad. I am kind of surprised he didn't get the start this past weekend considering his effort in the CL game.... but I need to just chill.... because he is already WAAAAAY ahead of schedule.

Boy, what a blast they're having! Imagine being that age and having your dreams come true. I hope soccer never becomes a chore for them.
again. no big deal imo 📰. https://t.co/JC88cvxieH— U.S. Soccer Men's National Team (@USMNT) February 26, 2020
Seems automatic, given that Reyna would not be released for CONCACAF Olympic qualifying. He did make DMN's official non-binding provisional roster, however.
Pretty sure the people posting stuff insinuating a defection to England or Argentina are just trolling... either that, or they really haven't given it real thought.
Gio Reyna is creating his own unique Dortmund story 🇺🇸 pic.twitter.com/kNlpk5t5Kg— Borussia Dortmund (@BlackYellow) February 27, 2020
Looks like moukoko will play at 16, so with him reyna and haaland, lol it starts looking pretty unfair for the rest if europe....
There are people speculating Sancho is considering staying another year. I'm sure Dortmund will be eager to cash in on him this summer, but it makes you think.... If Dortmund can keep everyone for one more year, while making some improvements... They could make a serious run at some silverware.
They've got to improve their guts, their defensive midfield and centerbacks. Though perhaps they've already done that with Can
Yeah... Can has definitely been an upgrade... but they need a stud CB to add to the mix. Sancho is thinking about staying another year? I would be shocked quite honestly.... Dortmund is going to cash in w/ a huge windfall in the Sancho Sweepstakes and can then turn around and purchase the best CB money can buy. They should also look to upgrade the wing-back bench behind Hakimi and Guerreiro. The addition of Moukoko is going to be sic. The kid has 31 goals and 8 assists in 18 youth games played this season. Haaland, Gio and Moukoko as the front three? Haaland will feel positively ancient.
Bayern would never allow that. If they see they're moving to buy the right players, they'll make a couple of their key guys offers they can't refuse just before the window closes. They got the cash.
