I just don’t see this attack scoring 2 goals away in Manchester AND this defence keeping a clean sheet all in the same game.

I haven’t seen this game, I don’t judge players on one game and you are entitled to your opinion of course, I just don’t share it, tempers get hot when we lose, even mine, tried to resist looking at the score but couldn’t help myself, seems we still cannot score enough goals

Agreed. He isn't the player he used to be physically and it seems he's mentally tapped out as well. He barely shoots and we no longer play a counter attacking style that would utilize his pace (which he doesn't even have anymore) so I just don't see what he's supposed to bring to this team when he's out there. He's well and truly done here.

In no way do I think we’re out. We’re going to have to put in a massive shift but I’m confident we can win. City isn’t the strongest team mentally either.

We need to start incorporating Jovic and Rodrygo and stop messing around with Bale and making Benz untouchable

I hope the club lets Zidane go.

New coach with new ideas and a clean start without focusing on guys like Benzema and the like.

And Kroos to control the game more.

    unbelievably obvious thing to do.

Carvajal stopped being a top right back when neymar made him his biatch and shot over the bar at the camp nou he is completely rubbish defensively now days and going forward so overrated as well.

It is time to let go bale, modric, marcelo and benzema needs to be on the bench and go all out for mbappe or whoever we can buy to come and replace cristiano Ronaldo goals.

Reactionary posters calling for Casemiro's head or saying that Kante is better, are laughable. He had a 1-off game. Doubt he'll be bad in the return leg. Hopefully Zidane finally wakes up and smells the coffee. These boys need to stop being coddled. We can still win, on to Barcelona. HALA MADRID!

Really sucks that Kroos got injured right before the game, could have used him when we were up a goal.

We gotta spend some major cash on our attack next summer, it was depressing watching City bring Sterling off the bench while we brought Bale and LV on lol.

It's over man. We are one Barça spanking away from our traditional early vacation.

Yeah that wont happen. All of Jovic minutes came from late subs in the 80th minute or later. Rodrygo is playing at Castilla. Hahaha. Come on wtf is this.

Maybe if we try something new.

    VJ Jovic Rodrygo to start.

We’re out as it stands anyway. What’s to lose.

That's one of the issues this season, this lazy mentality that prevents us from killing the game when we have the momentum.

I think he is playing him on purpose so everyone but also himself can see that he is cak I think the club is going to do their very best to move him on he can stay here anymore.

But benzema I mean the guy is only good at heading no pace even fernandinho who is 34 outpace him today incredible.

I think Vini tends to look tired at the 60/70 mark in games when he starts. I still don't get why ZZ insists on Bale when Rodrygo is available.

There is no reason that would make sense as to why Mariano has been banished from this squad during this shitty time. Its like ZZ is being extra vindictive to make a point.

It's been common knowledge to everyone besides Bale and his agent that he hasn't been good for some time and he's shown it enough. If that was the intention, then we've crossed that bridge and are now sabotaging ourselves to prove a point which makes us rather foolish if true.

Maybe Ramos getting a red isn't that bad considering that forces Militao in. He was one of the worse players on the field imo. Along with Modric, Carvajal and Casemiro who were all pretty ********ing bad.

Every other player was so-so. Vinicius And Courtouis were the only ones rising above average. The second one keeping us in the game multiple times, and the first being basically our only offensive threat.

I'm not Zidane's biggest fan when it comes to our player management and decision making, but that's almost half the team which plays like crap. Blame for this loss can be passed around to multiple targets.

While us winning 0-2 over there isn't impossible- it's not like this City is all that great tbh - but considering they were already the better more threatening team tonight, it's very ********ing unlikely.

If I remember correctly, we offered him the amount he wanted just not in the exact way he wanted it. Given our history with players with huge contracts after their prime, I understand the club's decision (we're dealing with an anchor right now that's sinking this team spectacularly).

Solari at least dropped Marcelo and Isco rightfully so but thats when the club should have made decisions on who to get rid of

A few weeks ago I said that Carvajal is the worst undisputed starter in our team. Got flamed to shreds. Good job, you're as blind as Zidane is.

men this is depresing, its the same feeling i had back when Arsenal,Liverpool,Lyon etc were KO every year,a feeling of hopelesness and a feeling that it will never change .
How the mighty has fallen, there is a saying that a player isnt bigger than the club, but maybe in CR/Messi case they are bigger ?
