Another VAR handball decision... chalks off an equalizer by Troy Deeney. But is it OK if we just root for that pr1ck and his fellow hornets for the next 40 mins only? Edit: On second thought... United just went 2-0 up. Deeney can go back to the doghouse.
Speaking of that 2nd goal. Did anyone else think Rashford was offside when the ball was played to him in the build-up? Both replays I saw show it was worthy of review, but I never saw any indicators VAR looked at it.
IDK about offside, but I do know that it wouldn't have been Rashford, being as he's out injured for the rest of the season?
One of the deepest batting leagues, at the moment the only team not copping an upset is Pool, and they feel they need to make it more "entertaining". ******** me.
Fabianski once thought it was sensible to fly out of goal in the 121st minute against Hull in the FA Cup final— MJ (@mj_afc) February 24, 2020
Are you nuts man? You'd rather see some little team get relegated than have our iconic unbeaten streak surpassed?? More and more it looks like one fixture is our best chance of retaining that seminal accolade: Liverpool at Man City in 6 weeks. They might've clinched the title the game before vs Palace, but if they lose at City their streak ends at 48. On April 5th I will gladly become a Pep fanboy. Only if necessary that is!
I'm convinced the WHU owners had something on the London Legacy committee to get away with the stadium deal they secured, which is totally screwing taxpayers, on top of knowing a few Irons fans who are a bit too full of themselves. Yes I want them to suffer.
You could tell when the invincibles were exhausted, Portsmouth away jumps to mind. Does Pool every look leggy?
M'eh, I'll always have a (albeit small) soft spot for them because of the lasagna match, and I certainly wanted them to beat Pool yesterday. But not like I'll lose any sleep if they get relegated.
Oh you well know the answer to that! Under the category of the-ones-who-got-away, is there anyone that we missed out on more than Serge? I mean in terms of someone whose trajectory went so dramatically up after leaving us. And who has so many years and potential ahead of him.
Wenger quotes here confirm pretty much what I have always said about how Gnabbers got away Short version, Wumger had his eye off the ball and didn't get the new contract done. Away with germany at the olympics, they turned him. Of course though we sold him to Bremen, in reality it was Bayern driving it. So frustrating given how many crappy players got way more leeway. And before people say oh but he was injured etc - a number of us said at the time this was stupid. It was obvious even to armchair amateurs that the real problem was failure to keep his contract current - which would plague late era Wumger Suspicion remains that Gnabbers was only offered a contract AFTER he was hot at the Olympics Oh Serge… https://t.co/ulMmHfWEd4 pic.twitter.com/HkmuvZBLyi— LE GROVE (@LeGrove) February 26, 2020
I'm confused as to whether you're really laughing that we lost out to Bremen or being sarcastic and referencing you're earlier point that Bremen was really just a loan deal with Bayern always the true buyer?
If I remember the situation correctly, Bayern originally tried to snap him up direct (with the idea of loaning him out) but I guess we refused to sell to them - so then the Bremen thing happened whereby Bayern inserted a strategic clause - so the effect was the same - to park him at Bremen with the option to take him back to Bayern if he continued in the right direction Somehow we couldn't resist Bremen - but as you say, no doubt that is because Bayern were in the background
