We did our wedding suits through Pursuit. Loved everything about the experience! Tyler, their GM, is a great guy and big Crew supporter.

I bought a suit FOR a wedding (that I was not participating in) from Pursuit and they were outstanding. Top notch folks.

Fashion tip: Don't ever button all of the buttons on your suit jacket, always leave the bottom button open.

Thankfully, I've never had to buy a suit. Not sure I could get one to fit me.

Nah, Sika could get one to fit (a bit too tight), his issue would be he couldn't fine one visually repulsive enough that you could see it on the radio broadcast.

Over in MLS N&A there's a posting of the complete MLS national broadcast schedule on Fox and ABC/ESPN. Eventually, someone also dug up the schedule for matches broadcast on Univision/UniMas. Leaving aside Canadian national broadcasts, here are the raw numbers for each club this season:

    Atlanta 18
    Miami 17
    LA Galaxy 17
    LAFC 17
    NYRB 14
    Seattle 14
    Portland 13
    Chicago 10
    SJ 8
    NYCFC 8
    Philadelphia 7
    DC 7
    Minnesota 7
    Houston 6
    Orlando 6
    Dallas 5
    KC 4
    Nashville 4
    RSL 3
    Colorado 1
    Cincinnati 1
    Columbus 1
    Montreal 0
    Toronto 0
    New England 0
    Vancouver 0

Sucks to be New England, I guess. Unless I missed something, I don't think they appear on any kind of national TV broadcast in the States. The Canadian clubs have been shunned, too, but of course they appear on many Canadian national broadcasts.

It's interesting to dig into the numbers a bit.

For example, Dallas, Houston, RSL, Colorado (and, of course, NE) appear on zero Fox or ABC/ESPN broadcasts; all of their national appearances are on Univision/UniMas.

San Jose only has one Fox or ABC/ESPN broadcast, but seven on Univison/UniMas. Chicago only has four, but six Spanish-language only.

On the flip side, Seattle, Portland, Minnesota and Nashville have zero appearances on Univision/UniMas; they only appear on Fox and ABC/ESPN.

You see, too, how the league pimps new clubs. Modestly, anyway. Recall, Cincinnati had seven national broadcasts in 2019; they have one in 2020. Nashville has four national broadcasts in 2020, but I'd suggest they not get used to those numbers.

It's no great shock that we'll be unable to avoid Inter Beckham FC on national broadcasts in 2020.

Anyway, we already knew this, but again when it comes to national broadcast presence, we are effectively dead to MLS. But for HiR, I'm sure we'd have zero national appearances.

We're not alone, necessarily (zero broadcasts for a club in the Boston market is a surprise), but these kinds of disparities are ********ing ridiculous. Every market in the league should have at least 2-3 appearances, that would still leave well over a dozen national appearances for the clubs MLS deems to be the sexiest. Maybe the new stadium will improve our fortunes... for one year. Maybe new ownership - next year - will be able to demand more coverage. But I'll believe it when I see it.

That's what you get with Don "Unfortunately, some of our most popular clubs are in smaller markets" Garber.

How the league has grown. It used to be the haves and have nots, now it's the pets, the tolerated and the bilge.

For those who have argued against promotion/relegation look at Toronto. Clearly relegated.

It is unacceptable to not give every team a few NB , understandably bad teams and teams who draw bad ratings deserve less but this is just ridiculous

Been that way for years. It's what MLS calls parity.

    Great post!

    Couple of things.

It is interesting how differently Nashville and Miami are being treated. From day one, with no track record, Garber has picked his favorite. I fully expect Miami to lead the league in PK's attempted and have the fewest called against them.

    Kidding.

    (not really)

Second, I have heard people say watching a game with a packed house is preferable, so it makes sense that the teams at the top, for the most part, are the ones with the biggest crowds or in the biggest metro areas (NY or Chicago)

Yes, there are a few that go against my above statement, but I think that list pretty clearly shows it isn't done arbitrarily and the league has a clear list of teams they like and don't like.

How long until Garber retires and we can move the league beyond his pet teams?

OTA 17.2 - BeIn Extra shows quite a few "90 in 30" matches starting around 9 or 10 most nights, and has had several live South American matches starting around 7-730. River v. Deportivo Cali is live tonight. Most of the 90 in 30's are PSG, Barca or Real matches, and several have been from 2014- present.

Surprised how many matches Chicago (who are likely to suck) gets vs NE (who are likely to be good). I'm not surprised Vancouver and Montreal are blanked from US tv bu would have thought cup finalist TFC would make it on air in the states.

I only own a couple and only wear them about once a year, but never having a reason to wear a suit - wedding, funeral, interview, etc - is mind boggling.
