Maybe he learned some things and will be better this time around. But being an unused sub / not in the squad for a likely relegatdd team probably wasn't that great, so the chance to really compete for a starting spot in KC sounds pretty good.

I always thought when he played for NYCFC that his natural position would have been RB. No where near the skill to play wing/forward, but he has the physical tools to be a competent RB at a decent level IMO.

Still, he's doing better than Polster.

I guess I just can't let this thread go. Shelton started (according to the team, on the left side of the top of a 4-3-3) what I believe was KC's final preseason tuneup on Saturday, so maybe he's in line for the gig when the real scrapping begins. No idea, though maybe a close KC watcher is out there reading this.

The early reviews are extremely positive. Now, will he start along their front 3? I have no idea, Pulido arrives as their most expensive signing ever, costing more than all of their other signings combined, and is coming off a golden boot in Liga MX, so striker is unlikely. Johnny Russell was the teams best attacker in 2018-19 and is the only SKC player at present considered among the top five in MLS at their position, he usually came from the right, so unlikely to start there.
So, it's down to can he beat out Salloi, deadly in 2018, horrible in 2019, Gerso, really fast and disrupts defenses, but not a ton of end product. One of those 3 will start. Probably even money on each of them at this point.
