Back to the grind...3-0, goals by VVD, Firmino and The Ox. Hendo is prolly out. So MF of Fab, Keita, Gini, and either Millie or The Ox.
Bottom of the table or not. I’d like to be reassured that we can still score goals against a team that really has to play “defense and dash”
Klopp seems to agree. Playing against the chosen one and a fleet of busses is not going to be a piece of cake. 'West Ham need to fight. They don't have time to waste points': Jurgen Klopp warns Liverpool against complacency as he expects 'really tough match' against David Moyes' relegation-threatened outfit https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...ects-really-tough-match-against-West-Ham.html
Any updates on the possible team etc? Keita will have to play (maybe he will use Lallana possibly). Sadly most likely going to miss this here as I visit the Indian time zone - it I hope to wake up to a great result.
Largely the Atletico loss was seen as disappointing and a harbinger of a tough night at Anfield in a few weeks time. Another slew of wins, starting with West Ham this evening, will go a very long way to building the we're gonna do it confidence for the return leg. And West Ham at home is probably a fixture Klopp would have chosen himself to get that rock rolling down the hill of inevitability.
I’d agree with that but I’m still a bit concerned about our lack of ability lately to score against the 10 man defense with one runner at the halfway line. We’ll see how that works out today. Our strikers have to finish some of those half chances that used to look so easy!
I would prefer Ox over Keita, but I think Klopp will go with Keita to help break down the triple decker bus
Naby Keita replaces Jordan Henderson. Milner kept out with a slight knock as a precaution. Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Keita, Salah, Mane, Firmino Subs: Adrian, Matip, Lovren, Lallana, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Minamino, Origi
I’m still convinced that Liverpool’s best team includes Naby Keita. I hope that proves true today. Dropping one of Henderson, Gini, or Fabinho seems impossible. This time the decision was made for Klopp because of Henderson’s injury. I wouldn’t be surprised if this eleven is the team that faces Athletico Madrid at Anfield.
That didn't last long. Taa gives away a corner and on a follow up corner hammers score. Alisson could have done better.
Both keepers could have done better for those goals. We’re bit nervy dealing with West Ham corners at the moment.
Antonio is causing problems. West Ham sense another goal and an upset here. We must take advantage of that adventurousness.
The missed handball on Snodgrass was also bad. That was one of the clearest handballs in a long time.
