You are confusing an installment he was paid on feb1, 2018 with the payment he received for the fiscal year ending March 31,2018. I’ll stick with the $3.35 million as the line on the 990 public disclosure form as the amount he was paid for the f.y. ending March 31, 2018
I don’t trust the incompetent people that run the IRS. There are far far far too many examples of them just doing things with no rhyme or reason. When they mess up or more often then not make a mess of something they just fall back on well we don’t know but we’re the IRS. It’s the DMV on crack. However, from the same article those numbers were pulled from Form 990 and covers the period from April 1 of 2018 to the end of March of 2019. That’s per USSF as well. Though I don’t trust them much either.
Dude. the IRS doesn’t fill in the form, USSOCCER does. And USSOCCER is required to post it publicly. It’s part of the nonprofit requirement. if you want to rail against somebody, pick USSOCCER. I don’t trust them all that much considering their loose accounting during the Chuck Blazer years, but nevertheless, it’s the number until somebody convicts them of felony fraud.
My comments on the IRS are not about this specific situation, if that wasn’t clear my bad. I also stated I don’t trust USSF.
I might be but I don’t believe that the 3.35 was his annual salary but rather a settlement. Tho I could be wrong.
From earlier US Soccer tax filings, Klinsmann was earning over 3.3M/year around the time of the 2014 World Cup. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...klinsmann-make-new-tax-records-offer-details/
He was much cheaper. We got the same Peevish, and about 85% the dazzling self-esteem, of JK der Übermensch. A real bargain.......
Bruce earned $1,249,348 in the year ending March 31, 2018, which included what was listed on that form 990 return as a $300,000 settlement. 2017-2018 was a costly year for USMNT coaches.
