[Insert attempt at being witty here].

Good win last week, followed by decent win in Greece. Need to keep it up on Sunday. Everton are a sneaky tough matchup right now - they're much better than their record suggests. Should be a good game.

    Location: Emirates Stadium

    Go nuts.

Yup Ancellotti is a crafty dude sometimes. No simple task.

But 2 wins on the trot for Arteta... woohoo!

So Mebe what's "your" undefeated streak up to now?

Huge match. Really want this one and feels like a win here would do winders for team morale and confidence.

Even if all the shots still aren't falling it sure seems the team has made progress in getting more and better shooting opportunities per match. Will be critical Sunday as they'll want to keep a streaking Everton on their heels.

C'mon lads, let's strap on the boots and get this done!

    Yeah, we're faced with a mid-table 6-pointer, as 10th place hosts 9th.

p.s. I'm always optimistic though. So since we're only 6 pts out of 5th place which could/should earn UCL this year, assuming that CAS doesn't completely reverse Citeh's ban, I still have a little hope of Mikel and the boys pulling a veritable rabbit out of the hat! Especially since 5th place is currently occupied by THEM and HIM.

Anyone predicting a loss goes straight to kangaroo court on Monday. And I will be judge, jury, and executioner. That is all.

Just heard a stat that Everton have increased their vertical passing by about 100% since Ancelotti arrived. (80/game to 150?)

If he ends up starting, pray for Mustafi. And pray for us.

And... results from the 3pm fixtures that just completed didn't exactly go our way.

Teams right around us all won (Soton, Palace, Burnley). Pushing us down to 11th, at least for the moment. Although another team well above us (Sheffield) drew so that's the only little bit of good news, in addition to Spurs losing earlier today.

So, this puts more pressure on us to WIN TOMORROW! As I'm sure the boys are well aware.

Win and we're three or four points out of fifth, pretty good spot all things considered. Big match!

Massive match. But we have turned a corner, with the defensive rock known as Mustafi leading the way.

Big game table and points wise for sure. They have improved so much since we last played them and so have we. There lineup looks decent and relatively talented and they have two ex-gunners in Iowbi and Walcott. I say a 2-1 win..

Same lineup as Newcastle except Kolasinac for Saka.

Noticed the new do on Mustafi. Surely that's all he needed to become a world class defender, right?!

For a team with a lot of comical defending this year that was right up there in terms of embarrassing moments.

That plus Luiz's poor header. What else did we do poorly on that play? (I missed it live... just catching up now)

Very bad looking fall by kola there. Hard to imagine he doesn't have a little concussion after that one.

Edit: apparently add dislocated shoulder to the damage?

Leyton Baines is still alive?? 10+ years ago I really fancied him for Arsenal.
