if he stay for another 2 years and is a starter- this means another 2 trophiless seasons.He is a false 9 /a creator,not a goalscorer or a leader.

He should be sold in the summer,but its not happening ,you cant win a league against Messi waiting for Benzema to score the goals.

 

I think that Zidane has played Benzema way too much, he's the player with most minutes played this season (according to whoscored.com). Neither age nor physical attributes are on his side and he should have rested more and Jovic should have been given more space. The same can be said about Casemiro and Ramos too.

I love Zidane and i think that he should be here for many years, but managing playing time of certain players was never his strength.

 

I think he us scared if he doesn't play Benzema we won't score..... then we don't score anyways.

We have to understand Benzema was on a tear 2019. Not shocking to lean on him.

Then when we bring in Jovic he's either missing, sleeping or hiding.

Then you look at Halaand get cameos and make something out of them. Which earned starts and he made something out of those.

Then you wish you could go back on time this summer and buy Halaand for dirt cheap and Neymar with the money used on Jovic and Hazard.

 

Zidane relies on his players and these 3 are the backbone of the team. The rest he wanted to rotate, but as long as these 3 performed, he would play them, I cant blame him, if he doesnt do it he is the badguy too. Few weeks ago we were all praising him, because he got the team on track again. Benzema was kicking ass. It still can go all ways now, football is a weird game, but that relying only on Benzema for our goals, was always a recipe for disaster. We all know that. The least we can expect is 3 fowards who can put in a goal from time too time right, we are the biggest club in the world. Cant wait for summer transfers.

 

2 more years of this and we are the new United ,just not good enough...CR7 is no longer here and Benzema is no longer needed.It doesnt work and wont work

 

2 goals in 1000 minutes. Sick. If only we had somebody on the bench who dropped 27 in League and Europe alone last season...

 

If only he didn't wcore one goal in like 700 minutes himself.

Both suck. Don't get me started on Hazard and Bale.

This guy needs to hit the bench. He's murdering us out there. You can't do worse by giving Jovic a go to see if he can build towards something because Benz is cooked.

 

Too lazy to look it up but he did come in the 88th minute and scored and then all he saw is the bench.

 

Benz is so fcking horrible playing Jovic for 10 games straight won't make anything worse. He will at least match Benz 2 goals in 1000 minutes. No doubt he would score more if he had a streak of games.

Casemiro and Carvajal need players who challenge them. They are too comfortable.

We need 2 forwards.

I got to thinking and realized; Benzema isn't even being hounded by the media.

If this had been Cristiano he would be destroyed for scoring two goals in his last 1000 minutes.

Benzema however skates by, basically unscathed.

This guy's form is directly tied to our winning and he can't even muster a goal for us when we desperately need it.

 

In all likelyhood, as much respect Benz showed to the badge last year by being only one of two players to step up, he was going to have another rough patch sooner or later. We needed at least one of our other attackers to step up, no one has.

 

Maybe because that’s the norm, he’s always in a slump at some point, fluffing chance after chance, if he got any chances at all, sometimes looking like he just can’t be bothered in his comfy undisputed starting role as our 9, normalized now by coach after coach,

Ronaldo now, was a reliable goalscorer more often than not, so I guess they really panicked when he didn’t score, not an excuse for anyone ( you know how I feel about Benz) just an idea ( no facts) about why that happened/happens.

 

We thought we bought that in Hazard.

I was insulting anyone who said Hazard couldn't score 20 and assist at least 15.

Usually it's just home NT players that are immune to criticism (Carva, Asensio, Isco) but Benzema is definitely one of them. Protected from the media from Florentino himself most likely. Plus nobody has high expectations of Benzema.

19yo Vinicius gets shredded to pieces, 21yo Jovic etc etc.

 

They tore this kid apart for missing sitters in lesser matches we won.

Hazard misses one of the worst I have seen in a Madrid shirt and no one bats an eye.

Benzema misses so much recently it has made us so numb we don't even expect any output from him.

Both are veterans. Both are paid handsomely.

However the teenager is the one the media attacks and the Bernabeu boos. Meh.

 

Why is the media indeed soft on Eden? He is no Spaniard or a club legend.

You guys are harsh on the guy. Hasn't been good for a good run of games, but nobody is scoring - there's way way way worse culprits

 

We would be doing worse with Jovic starting every game. And I don't think any goalscorer in Europe bar Cristiano could provide the output we're looking for singlehandedly

 

His job is too score.

We are dropping points and almost out of the CL because we don't. The media doesn't even bother the guy but we are being to harsh?

We have scored 3 goals in our last 3 matches and the last time Benzema scored was 5 matches ago.

We should be harsher.

 

Worse, he's playing like he's a cm or marauding left back, always deep or out wide.

Was just about to post this. Really sad. Zidane instructions are wrong and Benzema runs away from the goal.
