Josh worked very hard, IMHO. He is on a poopy team. Sorry to have to use that language. I see his quality, as a 19 yo. He is not the type to take over a game with no help. Very few are. I feel for him, at this point. Some how Bremen will turn it around, maybe not this year, but they are too big to be this bad.
Maximum punishment will be arranged just as soon as I am able stop the room from spinning around me. It might take a while, so feel free to go grocery shopping or whatever while you wait.
Talk about a tale of two different teams one 17 year old with good coaching and a good set up a 20 year old embedded in a dumpster fire what a shame for Josh but he did “not choose wisely” when he signed with Bremen.
“Choosing” is a two-way street. Gio and Pulisic also had the advantage of going over before turning 18 because of their Euro passports. Sargent went with a club that signed him to a pro contract at 18. On Counterattack yesterday, there was someone who covers BL saying that it only took Reyna’s first two days at Dortmund for the coaches to become super excited about him. Coaches said they see a lot of technical ability with attackers coming through but not with the kind of physical attributes Reyna already has.
Great strike by Josh (video over in the main thread). 20 yards out with his left foot. That was a cannon of a shot. Defender didn’t expect it, so left the door open and Josh barged right in.
