Never heard a sweeter sounding word than Feyenoord part 2

Discussion in 'The Netherlands' started by feyenoordsoccerfan, Jun 4, 2012.

  1. The 14 minutes rampage after the break that forced Heracles on their knees was the result of a simple tactical change (that is if you could see it was needed of course) from the first half, in which Feyenoord struggled to find openings.
Dick Advokaat decided not to sub players, but ordered both wingbacks Geertruida and Malacia to restrict their attacking efforts. The result was the wing backs didnot push the Heracles attackers (and their midfielders along with them) back, which suddenly led to space for the Feyenoord midfielders and attackers with three goals in less than 14 minutes after the break.

Nice 3-0 win over FC Emmen. Ozyakup scored his first goal in less than 2 minutes, and Bozenik came on for the last 10 minutes or so.

  3. I wasnot very pleased with the way they played. After the fast goal chances were created in the first 30 minutes but not collected. After that the play became very sloppy and after the break things in the first 15 minutes became worse as the defense was operating in MO stupido. With less selfishness and more intelligence Emmen could or should at least score two goals.
If I was Dick Advokaat I put the defense on the goal line bent over with their butts pointing towards 16 meter line and have the rest of the team practice butt shooting for 10 minutes from that line.

    Feyenoord – FC Emmen 3-0
    Feyenoord: Bijlow 7,5
    ; Geertruida 5,5, Botteghin 6, Senesi 6,5, Malacia 7,5; Toornstra 6, Fer 6, Özyakup 7,5 (63. Tapia -); Berghuis 6, Jørgensen 6 (82. Larsson -), Sinisterra 6,5 (82. Bozenik -).
    FC Emmen: Telgenkamp 6; Bijl 6, Araujo 7, Heylen 6,5, Burnet 6; Chacon 6,5, Hiariej 6,5, Peña 6,5 (81. Jansen -); Frei 7, De Leeuw 6, Kolar 6 (81. Ugrinic -).

  5. If feyenoord beats AZ this weekend and FC Utrecht beats Ajax, we all of a sudden are back in the title race

But, of course. England has been raiding the Netherlands for years.

I thought the final Brexit approval was going to put an end to this.

  10. The situation is for a year in limbo, as during that phase negotiations take place to settle for a trade agreement. So things change the moment they agree about something.

  11. This could become a defining weekend in the run for the title.

Feyenoord has the most impressive run of the top 6, but face AZ Alkmaar. I personally think AZ is too much for this team, as Feyenoord won their matches, but did it in a not so convincing way in some of those wins.
AZ meanwhile is brimming with confidence as expected.
One thing could become a major influence. During the match the weatherforcast predicts a storm. Thats not going to make circumstances for good football and can create fluke moments in front of the goals.
A win is a must for Feyenoord to keep in the running for the title.
Funny, how much chance was there I could be thinking about being able to write this at this moment 10 matches ago.:)

Ajax faces their bogey opponent FC Utrecht, who only have PSV in front of them when it comes to the number of points taken against Ajax.
Alot depends for Ajax on who's fit enough to face FC Utrecht. With a depleted squad things arenot getting easy for them in this away match.

In case we win and Ajax loses the race really is on as in a couple of weeks AZ faces AZ and from the then emerging contenders Feyenoord only faces clubs from the "Rechter rijtje".
Oh, forgot we have still to play Ajax at home march 22nd.

The other dark horse Willem II faces PSV, the only club of the big 3 left they havenot beaten yet this season. For PSV it's the last chance to link up for the battle for the second CL spot.

Awesome weekend with tremendous loads at steak!!!
    Bring it on!!!

And now wouldn't it have been nice to have Gustafson on the books still? He is likely better than Kokcu at bringing the offense from the #10 position.

We're closing the gap and coming super sunday can be the starting shot for a couple of hectic weeks in the title race.
It would be a tribute to Advokaat's coaching career when he manages to grab the Dutch title with another Dutch club.

Yes, your team is looking good. I can get Feyenoord matches on ESPN+ over here and have watched several since Advokaat took over. Club is playing with real purpose. I think Ajax can still stay in the driver's seat if they beat AZ next Sunday but that's not a given these days.

  15. The big problem we have is the injury that takes Sinisterra out for the rest of the season. He's the revelation of the season, a speed demon and consistent performer. His substitute Sam Larsson is or brilliant or a total flop on the pitch, plus he lacks Sinisterra's speed. My hope is that he pairs his brilliance with the speed of Malacia to take defenses apart as a combo.

  16. After selling Sam Larsson with a profit and the injury of Sinisterra the question was who's going to play as the left winger in the PSV clash.
    Well......the surprice is .......Haps.
    Yes, a left back.
Where are left wingers from our academyo_O

  18. Yeah, but how many midfielders does one need. He would be one in the queue at the moment.

I dont know whose decision was it but the arrival of stam was a distaster for the young and upcoming talents from the academy.Crysencio Summerville and joel zwarts looked ready for the transition after a good loan season at Dordrecht in Eerste Divisie but were sent out on loan (Crysencio Summerville - ADO Haag) and zwart sold to Excelsior respectively. including Vente who also is on loan at RKC Waalwijk.

what happened to cheick toure. I rememeber him getting minutes under GvB.
