I mean he clearly chose BVB for three reasons. 1) they will sell him at some point in the near future and they can get a huge fee 2) champions league football 3) they play youth.

Haaland probably stays at least another year in the Bundesliga. Not saying it's impossible for him to move again, but just unlikely.

“Callum, no. Pulisic, no. N’Golo, no, from that today. Tammy is a maybe. It is not going our way with injuries at the moment but the players who come in they have to show that. That is what the squad is there for. It is frustrating,”

Pedro, Willian, and Bats up front looks pretty toothless. Ready to be disappointed again.

Just another sign that Man U are the biggest bunch of f-ups around right now. Only they could come third in a two horse race.

According to an ESPNFC article yesterday (?), there is a 4th reason. The yellow wall.

...and tired. Pedro and Willian are not spring chickens and the latter has played a ton of minutes. Both look like they could use a rest. The fact that Frank ruled CP out with almost a week until kickoff is not good. I am just so disappointed that he is injured yet again and it is taking him so long to recover. Just feel like the USMNT can't count on him to be healthy. He is like a wild card. If he just happens to be healthy then he is a no-brainer starter... but you better be ready to play w/o him. Unfortunately, Frank and Chelsea are probably starting to feel the same way.

anyone else find it interesting that Lampard addresses Odoi, Kante, and Abraham by their first name and Christian by his last?

He actually usually refers to him as "christian" in interviews.

I think Haaland is the real deal, but Dortmund in the Buli can make Batman look halfway decent, so ya never know if it translates, until it translates I think it will FTR, but I don't think he will end up in Blue anytime soon.

Chelsea really need to win this fixture and not sure they are up to it without Tammy. Maybe Frank will give Giroud a start? I don't think the guy is up to everyday starter standards, but he does have class and can't score any less goals than Batman.

Man and I was going to take it a step further by insinuating that Frank refuses to say the word “Christian” due to his being a closeted all the pie eating atheist.

Batshuayi looks exactly like I would have imagined for Chelsea based on his play with BVB - good looking until its time to finish then very unpredictable. We still thinking Buli is so far below EPL after this week's UCL games? Same story every year, EPL is the top, results notwithstanding.

Chelsea is going to lose out on Sancho if they don't get their butts in gear. Heck, the way they are playing and hemorrhaging players they may not even be in a Europa League spot when all is said and done. Bummed that CP still isn't healthy enough to help the team.

Are you referring to Leipzig's defeat of a depleted Spurs team?

a depleted Liepzig running rings around a depleted Spurs in London, and BVB beating PSG, as well as Liverpool looking pretty toothless at Atleti. Next week we'll have some more data points.

Is Leipzig as depleted as Spurs (in term of key players)? What do these other competitions have to do with you comment about German vs. English leagues?

leipzig pretty depleted in the spine with adams and a couple of centerbacks missing. son a huge loss for spurs, but i think its time to get real about harry kanes being on the decline. he has played through too many injuries and is not the same player any more

The injuries are def taking a toll on Kane but he’s still a top class striker. 11g and 2a in 20 games in the EPL is still very good production.

He’s 26 he’s still worth over €100mill. The injuries will cause pause for concern but if he was made available teams would make offers.

PSG is overrated because of the names they have (although I still think Mbappe is world class). I think playing in a relatively uncompetitive league probably impacts team mentality and just the fighter instinct. I follow the women's game pretty closely and Lyon is probably the best women's team in the world, comprised mainly of French national team players, but the French internationals always meltdown in major world competitions. I do wonder if it's because of that cocoon where they are rarely challenged in league play.

Off topic. Does Neymar look like he has gained some weight? He seemed to have a chubby chin in match on Tuesday.
