The Dembele deal really skews that number quite a bit. His sale accounts for 25% of your player sales revenue.

Man, that was rather cringe worthy to read. I take zero pride in attacking Tönnies. Goes to show you that he puts past achievements before future ambitions. The situation with Thomas Tuchel is not going to go away any time soon. Watzke needs to be held responsible for that and all of it.
Released numbers for 17/18: Revenue of 536 million €, 220 of that because of transfers. Profts of 28,4 million €. Personnel costs: 186,7 million
Yes without the transfer revenue increase we would have been down approx 4% Still not horrendous given the poor results on the field last year. They are looking to cross 500€ without transfers in the next seven years.
Depressing news. Puma chairman claims that Puma want to extend the BVB contract which currently pays 15M a year and runs until 2020 upto 2025. If Watzke has anything resembling balls he should tell Bjorn Gulden to go fück himself. He should reject anything less than 60M...which is what Bayern is getting from Adidas. Frankly, why not go with Nike. I mean with the intl exposure, we should be raking in 75M. Yeah it's stretching but we should aim higher.
The good news is that the new contract's value is twice as high as the old value. The bad news is, according to Kicker, the old sum was only 9 million.
That's not good news. Actually I don't know what to believe. RN is reporting the 18M figure as well. That amount is a joke. Puma pays Arsenal 57M.
Well, Puma isn't a charity. I see Arsenal gear around town a lot. I don't think I've ever seen any BVB gear, other than my own, that wasn't a CP shirt.
Your town isn't the only town in the world. Where I love I haven't ever seen an arsenal shirt but BVB shirts are more common than all others combined.
RN has throw a wrench in the works. No agreement with Puma yet; far away in fact. BVB is asking for more money.
You live in an area with a large German-descended population, right? I don't think that is representative of much of what goes on in the world other than Argentina and Germany.
Indeed many of Berlin's residents have ties to Germany. The Premier League is much bigger on a global scale, despite recent inroads by the Bundesliga in substantial markets e.g. the US and Japan.
That was my point. There are two places in the world that BL shirts (of all types added together) are more than PL shirts, probably counting any of the top teams alone. It isn't English money that is making PL wealthy and it wouldn't be German money that catches the BL up, the shirt distribution in Slash's town notwithstanding.
How about invest some money into the team? There is no pride in making money. Only the trophies matter. I am so sick of complaining about the squad and injuries. Enough is enough... It is also about English money. All those expensive tickets matter... I don't get this thing when it comes to tickets. If you don't sell the tickets at their fair value...then someone else is going to make those money. There are so many Dortmund tickets that are sold way above their face value. You only help people make money instead of the club making that money. You cannot compete with the English teams if you keep acting this way. I guess that local supporters don't care about trophies that much. For them is much more important to have cheap tickets... Do you want to prove that you are a true supporter: Put the money where your mouth is!! You can't have it both ways: Either you pay and have a winning team or come out of the Quarter Finals in CL once in 20 years. Here is the states we don't complain that the Warriors or Patriots tickets are expensive. It's a free market...This is such a populist approach. If you half the prices someone is going to make a nice profit on StubHub. Is that what we want? Really?
It's not really the ticket prices. TV deals, marketing, sugar daddies play way more important roles. The importance of income through tickets rather seems to be declining over the decades. I don't like Hoeness but he once described that the amount they could earn more by increasing ticket prices would only be a worth a short discussion when it comes to negotiating player transfers.
This is amongst the most fundamental lesson of football finance. Keeping tickets cheap satisfies the local crowds and helps improve stadium atmosphere which in the long-run helps increase almost every other revenue stream.
BVB have signed an extension with Puma and it's so bad I want to throw something at Watzke and Cramer. It's 300M over 10 years netting us a basic 30M a season. Let's put things into perspective: Madrid will be earning almost 120M a season and setting the pace. Bayern earn twice as much as us from Adidas. Even Arsenal had the balls to kick out Puma and score a 57M deal with Adidas. Puma aren't lacking in funds. They are paying the sheiks 70M. United aren't going to be playing CL football anytime soon and they're raking in about 80M.
Apparently we extended with Puma till 2028 for 250 mil, this should net us 30 mil a season which is said to be 20 mil more then we r getting now
Borussia Dortmund's new shirt sponsor for Bundesliga games will be web hosting company 1 & 1. The sponsorship will bring the club 40 million euros per year for the next five seasons [Ruhr Nachrichten] #BVB— BVB Buzz (@BVBBuzz) February 19, 2020
Good sponsorship deals are necessary but I think 1&1 will look strange on the shirts. It will also be interesting whether they'll use any of their brand colors which are blue and white. That doesn't mix well with yellow and these colors would actually be perfect for our arch rivals.
