Exactly ^^^ People keep pointing to the offense can't finish chances, the midfield lacking creativity, the defense and goalie can't stop leaking goals. But ultimately, who's the guy in charge of putting the game plans together, selecting the players, leading training sessions. Almost a year in and they can't still defend set pieces properly, what the heck has Lamp been doing with the team in practice? His insistence on continuing to sit Giroud and keeping Kovacic on the bench is a big mystery; while the likes of Bats, Jorgi, Kante, and Mount has been shite for long stretches of games.. This team is progressively getting worse, they are still 4th because of all those points they accumulated back in Oct/Nov, they're on the path of dropping out of the Top 4 and into 7th/8th in the new few weeks. Here are the stats you need to know about Chelsea. * They have won exactly 5 home games all season. That's as much home wins as Aston Villa and New Castle. * They got 12 points from the last 10 games, that's less than half of the points available for grab
I really hope Puli can play this weekend so he can get in the lineup next week in their Champions League match
When I think of abductor injuries I think of Tyler Adams who is still suffering in the aftermath of his 6/7/8 months later. Great.
as we've talked about completely different injuries. one is in the hip (adams) the other is in the upper thigh (pulisic). in general the injury pulisic is dealing with is in a much better area for healing and diagnostic tests.
Is it "abductor" as you say, or "adductor"? I have seen "adductor" used more commonly for CP's injury. I'm not sure if they are the same thing, or whether it is British English vs. American English.
'Ad' means to. 'Ab' means away. 'Ducere' means to lead. Abductor muscles spread your limbs or fingers. Adductor muscles bring them together. Isn't that interesting?
The appeal itself will last long enough that next season they’ll be in the CL... pending the results from their ongoing appeal.
I guess you missed it... Frank already ruled CP out for the weekend along with CHO and Kante: https://soccer.nbcsports.com/2020/02/18/lampard-issues-chelsea-injury-update-pulisic-remains-out/ IMO, it is a terrible sign that he is being ruled out on a Tuesday for a weekend game. That tells me that he isn't that close... If any team is desperate for a goal scoring threat it is Chelsea. They continue to outplay their opponents for most of the game yet can't score and always seem to give up goals in the limited opportunities they give up. They must have the worst % of shots-on-target / goals allowed in the league. It is pathetic.
OK, so can you corroborate that Pulisic has an adductor injury, Kante has an abductor injury and Tyler Adams had an adductor injury.
Having some serious Pulisic withdrawals. Was hoping for fitness by CL, but I guess that's a pipedream
Makes sense. I'm just wondering if "Abductor/Adductor" has become the new replacement for "Sports Hernia." They both seemed to come onto the scene very abruptly and became rapidly widespread.
Haaland, Sancho, Werner... maybe mbappe too. just go all in for (dr evil voice) *one bazillion dollars*
Meh, I mean a goal every 46 minutes in CL play, is that really so impressive? Also, moves from the Austrian to the German bundesliga and drops his average time to score from an insane 61 to 38 minutes. Jeebus. His value between the January purchase at 40m and this summer might increase by 3x or more. I keep thinking that he will wake up and realize what he's doing is impossible at some point, and his scoring will return to Earth. I mean, his season until this point, at 19, is putting poseurs such as peak Messi and CRon in their place. If Haaland shows a similar growth in goal scoring ability, I think we need to change the rules to deal with him.
It's also just possible that he is benefiting from the quality of players around him, just as the "poseurs" have for years.
Absolutely. But, I'm not sure what team can afford him if he keeps up the current pace. Even RM might have a problem.
Re Haaland - I know he had a low buyout clause with RBS. Anyone know if he has a buyout clause with Dortmund
Almost positive that he does. It was almost unthinkable when he transferred over that he would only be at Dortmund for 1/2 of a year... but he is so on fire that I am pretty sure that his agent is licking his chops thinking about getting a 2nd cut of a transfer fee in a year. Sancho is already as good as gone. I still give Haaland about 4 to 1 odds that he will be at BVB when the next season rolls around... but those adds are evening out in a hurry.
