I'm not sure if this is considered being underrated: “The way he glides past players is similar to Iniesta. You think you can tackle him, but he just runs past you in slow motion almost. He’s a great player and he’s going to have a great career.” Similar to effing Iniesta.
Jack Grealish prefers Man Utd move if he leaves Aston Villa despite Real Madrid and Barcelona transfer interest https://t.co/97ZUJFHFGs— The Sun - Man Utd (@SunManUtd) February 8, 2020
It’s an analogy. It doesn’t mean he is as good a player, only that he can get past people despite being slow. Whether he is overrated or not will be seen by the price a club will pay for him. He’s not elite but he’ll certainly improve Manchester United’s midfield. That’s precisely the type of player they should be going for.
I never considered Iniesta slow though, just somebody with sneaky bursts of pace, like a Modric. Unless we're talking about iniesta right now.
Great player as an EPL follower I can say that. But he is very selfish or should I say likes the ball a lot. I kinda get why he plays like that because he is way more talented than his teammates and he thinks him shooting can wield more return than a pass to them can. I'm not sure but I think a jump to a club like Madrid is too much too soon. He could end up in hindsight being a big fish in a small pond. An expensive one.
Iniesta is one of those players who looks much faster when the ball is at his feet. Like Modric, yes. Probably because the first touch, acceleration and foresight to know what they want to do with the ball before it arrives means that their relatively low top speed doesn't mean anything. Grealish is similar. Worlds apart in terms of quality though. Didn't he also have an alcohol issue at some point?
It's BS and the papers know it is. Probably invented by the papers, or put out there by his PR team. He will likely get a move to Man United and the papers will bang on about how he chose them over Barca, Madrid etc.
Tottenham wins it at the death with a goal from Son after a howler from the CB. Wasted effort from Aston Villa who played pretty well.

Only two English players in Europe's top five leagues have recorded 6+ goals and 6+ assists this season:🏴 Jadon Sancho🏴 Jack Grealish 🆕cc Gareth Southgate. 😉 pic.twitter.com/oU0erORy6l— Squawka (@Squawka) February 16, 2020
6 goals and 6 assists seem a weird cutoff point considering Sancho has 13 goals and 14 assists in the league, both more than double the cutoff.
