Today FC Cincinnati loaned out central defender Forrest Lasso to Nashville SC for the remainder of the season. The move was made to get him more playing time. The 2018 USL defender of the year has only appeared in 5 MLS matches this year for FCC. He is a very likable guy. Hope he sees the pitch regularly in Nashville and we see him back in orange and blue for 2020.

FC Cincinnati have acquired Homegrown defender Andrew Gutman on loan from Scottish Premiership side Celtic FC through the end of the 2020 MLS season . He is a Chicago Fire Academy product and played college ball at Indiana. Celtic loaned him to the Charlotte Independence of the USL for the first half of 2019. He will help FCC at left back which has been a problem all season. His first match with FCC was in the Hell is Real Derby where he had a very solid performance.

On August 8 in an attempt to add depth on the outside FCC acquired homegrown midfielder Derrick Etienne Jr. on loan from New York Red Bulls for the remainder of 2019 in exchange for a 2020 third round SuperDraft pick. The club has the option to purchase his contract at the end of the loan.

Also on August 8 FCC acquired winger Joe Gyau from MSV Duisburg of the German 3. Bundesliga. His whole professional career has been spent in Germany. He has been capped with the USMNT 3 times.

FCC fan favorite Emmanuel Ledesma and the club couldn't agree to terms for the 2020 season. It's reported he is no longer in the clubs plans.

FC Cincinnati have placed forward Fanendo Adi and goalkeeper Jimmy Hague on waivers and have removed both players from their active roster. Adi was a bust as a DP signing. He had an injury plagued season and when he was on the pitch didn't produce. He also missed time due to a DUI charge and suspension. Hague was selected in the 2nd round of 2019 SuperDraft and did not make any appearances for the team last season.

Logan Gdula was removed from the active roster and put on waivers today. He was the 13th pick in the 2019 SuperDraft. He made no appearances with FCC in 2019 and was eventually loaned out to Hartford. He should get a chance with a USL side.

What a train wreck! FCC fans were really excited for this season but we've taken 2 steps back. I find it hard to believe we will find a proper manager on short notice. Let's hope Yoann Damet can lead the team to some success while acting as interim coach. He didn't fair very well during his last opportunity but he does have much better players at his disposal this time.
