Frank wants to win. When CP got on a roll he started every game.... and then his wheels literally fell off. All managers are going to give priority to players that prove they can stay on the field. CP just keeps proving over and over that he can't. His talent is undeniable... but his inability to stay healthy is going to be a much larger indicator of how Frank perceives him when others are thrown into the mix.

It's more fun to state them that way, and to watch the reaction. But between my national team and Chelsea, it seems to fit.

Apparently, since you are accepting my statement as true

And I quite like that he’s at a club that can afford to let him get all the way healthy again before shoving him back out of the field.

It's hard to follow conversations here when you got some people on ignore.

Fabian Johnson at his peak was a very good player. You folks should check some of his numbers in the BuLi and the Champions before criticizing me for comparing Puli to him.

Sadly, his peak was short-lived. If Puli can hold that level for 4-5 years, we should be glad.

I’m pretty sure he has the whole forum on ignore and he just comes here to talk to himself.

It is a fine balance between projecting cool by stating you have people on ignore and really hoping for likes

And very rarely proferring those likes to others. Does that increase the cool factor as well?

Numbers in the champions league? He didn’t play that much in the champions league, most of his european appearances have been in the Europa league, maybe he scored a goal in CL once. pulisic has already far surpassed that, he’s been a much more valuable player in the champions league than FJ, I don’t think Johnson ever played in anything beyond the champions league group stage

Johnson has played 10 times in the Champions League and made his debut in the competition when he was 27.

Pulisic has played 26 times in the Champions League and made his debut in the competition when he was 17.

Pulisic's debut season alone in the Champions League was as good as Johnson's entire career has been in the tournament.

I don't see how they're comparable at all.

Pulisic so far, at the age of 21, probably already surpasses almost all yanks; in terms of European football.

I am sure he's still got Dempsey's goals to chase, but not much else.

Just needs zero more goals, if my math’s right.

    That's quite impressive for Dempsey

My sense of Pulisic is that he is very ambitious. He seems like an introvert, and not as nasty a presence on the field as Dempsey. But I think he has all of Dempsey’s fire and then some. As always, I expect that minutes will produce assists and goals, wherever and whenever he gets those minutes.

Pulisic can benefit from a clinical finisher though. Neither Tammy nor Bats are that.

I would love to see him and Auba together again, or a guy like Lewandowski.

Glad he wasn’t available. This team is not good.

Trying to be purely objective, I'd say the team played noticeably better with CP on the field. He shouldn't have trouble regaining his starting spot.

This is an unfair statement. Chelsea has gotten jobbed by VAR in this game, that took away 1 completely legitimate goal and allowing Maguire to get away with blatantly kicking a Chelsea player in the nuts. Chelsea has also hit the post. They would almost certainly be winning this game if those 2 obvious calls go their way. The refereeing in the PL is absolute TRASH. I mean comically bad, in the most mind-boggling way.
