    LP Hummels Zagadou
    Hakimi Can Witsel Guerreiro
    Sancho Haaland Hazard

Akanji benched. The one thing he had was speed and we'll see whether that will be an issue today.
Morey on the bench. With both LP and Hakimi in the lineup, there is a small chance we might see him today but Akanji coming in for LP is more likey.
Frankfurt are on a good streak and beat Leipzig twice recently.

    Exactly what I was thinking.

If our defense is set, Hakimi will provide the speed, but if I were Frankfurt I'd send all the counter-attacks LP's way.

Hakimi and Guerreiro will be needed up front to compensate for the absence of Brandt's creativity.

I wonder if Hazard will drop centrally behind Haland, or if he'll stay wide. He's better wide, but with this formation, I think we need players to build-up and create from the center.

When you see our attack and midfield, that some high quality, i would say definitely top 10-12 in the world, but when you see our defence, this defence is average quality and the quality beetwen attack/midfield and defence is just too big. We would be better team if we have lower quality in attack/midfield and higher in defence, that balance beetwen is so important.. But you can have Messi, CR and Mbappe in front, it just doesnt matter when you have Lukasz, Akanji and others in the back...

And it's former striker LP that gives us the lead with a nice precise shot from the outside of the box.

Can is a very good player.. He will be a great signing.
When it comes to Zaga, i dont know if im crazy, but this kid has a high potential, i think he can be a wc defender, but only under great coach...

The biggest problem with Favre is: Why cant he keep his team playing like this on some consistent base?
Why are there so ups and downs, one game you play like this, so dominate and second 2 you play like the team is first time together...
    I just dont get that
We will won today easily and then we will again throw points against lower quality teams like Padeborn...

Absolutely, he’s the best defender tonight. Many bad passes from Hummels

1:0 at halftime without really great chances from our offensive guys.
Yes, Can has been good but a couple of times also not on the same page when it looked like he was caught ballwatching when a teammate passed to him. It seems he needs to get used to our kind of passing. But overall he seems like a clearly better version of Delaney on both ends of the field.

Don't jinx us again, I think the last time you said that was against Berlin. They scored and Hummels got red carded after that ;). We look better but Frankfurt can be dangerous. We know how bad we can be at defending at times, especially when it comes to deadball situations. Our offense needs to produce. Sancho isn't bad but can't find the final pass, Haaland and Hazard are a bit off.

Sancho 2:0, very composed finish to evade the defender.
But it's strange seeing these holes in the defense from one of our opponents. Despite their deficit, our opponents aren't that open usually with so much playing time left.

Haaland 3:0. That looked easy but Frankfurt is giving us so much space.

Dahoud was so talented and so damn good in BMG, he rejected bigger clubs (whne it comes to trophies) than us to came here.. What the hell happened?

His development stalled in part due to not getting the needed game time which is vital for a young player. What works against him was that every coach at Dortmund has not show the trust in him so not sure what to think of that.

    4:0, Guerreiro.

Man of the match for me so far...on both ends of the pitch too.

Favre needs to give Morey or Balerdi a look here now, if not in this situation then when!?

I remember in Tuchel era, when Schmelzer played before Guerreiro, he was playimg Raphael everywhere just not to touch Schmelzers position in the squad..
That moment i knew something is not right with TT...

Ok, Morey came for almost nothing and i can deal with that if he is not playing, but Balerdi.. 15M.. Something is not right there, i never witnessed such a case in footbal where someone is payed 10+M and he is not playing at all, not a second!
He is from South America, maybe its some money laundering? :D

Dont know if we are talking about the same player.. :)

I just looked at transfermarkt, in his last season, he started in 29 games, in just 5 he was on the bench..

I mean he was the best player in the team back than, i rember Juve and Lpool wanted him, he looked like the next Gundogan..

Being here for over a year and not getting any playing time is weard (he got some 10 minutes in one game). But Morey is just as important, considering that both Hakimi and LP will go after the season. Both Morey and Balerdi should be subbed in before Reyna.
The bench was thin today, still don’t understand what Schmelzer is doing there.
Good game tonight, hope we continue like this

Good game. Weak game by Frankfurt too, I guess, as our defense wasn't much tested.

Hazard needs to relax and just play. He may be overthinking. It doesn't help that Favre didn't play him last game when he seemed the obvious starter in the absence of Reus.
