shut up. I just recently rewatched it and completely forgot about that character being in it and always wondered how he was part of it, seemed so out of left field.
Racist white Republican New York billionaire vs. slightly less racist, but still pretty racist white Republican New York billionaire. I'm overwhelmed by the contrast.
Yeah, the whole movie was out of left field. And an incredible cast. Sadly, the critics hated it and it was in and out of the theaters in a week. It only lives on now as the film that spawned a million memes.
Can you tell me a little more about this? PM if you want to. Good find. If I read the chart correctly, almost all mayors. Yeah...third...behind BIDEN AND WARREN.
I hope you were high enough on the pecking order that you didn't have to gather all the sheets of paper after each of the thirty takes.
Right. I understand where you are coming from, and you have a valid point. I would imagine you must not think much of the way Argentina dealt with the military rulers after the return to democracy, or the way Spain dealt with the Francoists after Franco's death and their transition to democracy. My point of view may in part be based on my own philosophy, as you say, but it's also to a large extent influenced by what I've lived through. I do think the need to heal the country and restore the democratic institutions has to be the top priority in those situations, and that is difficult to accomplish if you are planning to disenfranchise a significant segment of the population. I don't want to put too much weight in a comparison between what's going on now and what I experienced in my youth, because it's obviously not the same situation, not even close to what we went through, and yet it does concern me, and I do think there is a similarity in that there will have to be a lot of healing and restoring to do in the US in the post-Trump era. Really there is no right answer, and each society has to find its own balance and its own solution.
I do think the experience of many Latin American countries is really instructive and important. They've gone through many of the same problems the US is going through right now: legitimacy of elections, preservation and rot of democratic institutions, responsiveness to the people, radicalization, populism, etc. It's not something to shrug off when people who have gone through this stuff have something to say.
The Fact Bloomberg is 3rd nationally in the democrat primary race is pathetic. The democrats need a Designated Driver a moderate Republican neo-liberal , neo-con authoritarian to be their nominee like wtf is this the twilight zone. The only reason he is being considered is because of his unlimited oligarch money haha I know this field is weak but to hand over your party to the likes of Bloomberg is beyond sad.
I don't know. I still think the Democrat who wins the nomination should be favored over Trump, even if it's a divisive figure like Sanders. This is because Trump is even more divisive, and I have to hold on to the belief that Trump's actions cannot possibly be acceptable to a majority of Americans - or lets say even to a minority large enough to win the electoral college. But having said that, I don't want to underestimate Trump, because that will play in his favor. And I am concerned that if lets say there is a scenario in which Sanders wins the most delegates and then all the other candidates - or enough to get a majority - combine their delegates to deny him the nomination, he might cry foul and his supporters might not be willing to support the candidate who - in their view - stole the nomination from Sanders. I can see Trump benefit in this scenario. Maybe I'm overthinking this, but it is a concern.
to bring it back to soccer in MLS and America, while tying it to German history of the 30s. Bloomberg is like the modern day leader of the Iron Front movement. Though instead of opposing communist, they are opposing the socialists movement on the left. Sadly I expect the same results.
No it is not. A half black man won and all of sudden parts of white America felt the Dem party was only for blacks and realized they were part of the disenfranchised people in America so they elected a racist to hurt those they felt had it better than them. Let's give them what they need because kkk racists to "he's black and muscular so he must have gone to jail" racists votes all count the same.
This is great, if only it was a real election and not the bastard child of the devil and medusa called a caucus
Bloomberg should primary Trump. He just may be able to wrestle the racist vote from Trump. 1227751552804323328 is not a valid tweet id
Klobuchar has a website with very specific and detailed policy positions, she released a detailed plan of over 100 things she'd do in her first 100 days in office, and she has a significant record as a senator, which can be referred to. Buttigieg has his charisma.
