So loew says now that Kherer and Draxler are back he does not need Hummels and Muller.... but all they do is sit on the bench for PSG. This weekend after PSG was up 5-0 in the 65th minute . neither of them even got subbed in.

lol Draxler, I just hope to God he doesn't start any games at the Euro.

as for Kehrer why do I feel like he only makes Low's squad because he plays in PSG. He left Schalke too early and isn't ready for NT.

worst part is Low playing Kehrer at RB. He's Klostermann's back up, lol.

Muller is in on fire form. Way to go to choose perennial bench warmer of PSG over starter at Bayern

I doubt Mueller would do well under Loews system - he excels in teams displaying more intelligence

lol at that Low's jab. That's mean today is Low free bashing day as it's his birthday.

as for Muller and Hummels fully expect them to play Olympics over Euro.

Muller is not really needed imo, if everyone is fit you got Gnabry, Werner, Sane, Reus, Brandt plus Havertz and Gotetzka. Scoring goals should not be a problem.

Hummels would be useful though, but it won't happen. Hopefully Sule is fit as that at least means Tah or Can probably won't play at CB at any point. Kehrer should not be called up unless he is playing well for PSG, atm he isn't playing at all let alone well.

    where's herr Draxler in that 1st paragraph?:oops::eek:

we desperately need Sule fit, otherwise it will look ugly. Stark/Kehrer not playing will leave you with Ginter, Rudiger and Tah.....and Tah, pass.

I'm just glad that we got Halstenberg and Klostermann otherwise Low would play 4 CBs at the back again.
    Rudiger------Tah--------Ginter--------Kehrer.

he actually played Rudiger in LB in that France NL game, LOL.

wonder how many goals they would concede.:sneaky:

I still fear that without Sule, Low might pull some crazy shit and play 4 CB's. Problem is in a group with the French and Portuguese it means unlike most other tournaments where he's gotten away with it(other then 2018) any early tactical errors will be punished by GS elimination.

Only time Germany looked good with back 3 was in CC and coincidentally there was no Kroos.....

it's embarrassing that even with back 3 we still concede shit ton. Defensively we look worse with back 3 than 2 and one good reason.....

I really think Germany needs to focus on it's greatest asset which is midfield domination. And as long as you play Kroos in XI he needs 2 other guys with him. Back 3 axes one guy in midfield. Back 3=Kimmich and Kroos in midfield that's nowhere near enough vs top teams.

of course being flexible and playing system also depends on your opponent.

Whilst I do agree the defense is a issue but the midfield when put under pressure has no steel that's another massive issue

I think one of Demme or Emre Can should be used in midfield

if we are playing back 3, I would recommend Koch as one of the 3 CBs ... he can move between CB n DM to cover Kimmich n Kroos

but ideally, I like Kimmich at RB a bit more

    ——Kimmich—Rudiger—Sule—-Gosens
    ————————Demme
    —————-Brandt———Kroos

    or a setup like

    —————Rudiger—-Sule
    —Kimmich——-Koch——-Gosens
    —————Brandt—-Kroos
    ——Gnabry—-Goretzka—-Werner

3 CBs... one of them can move up n support midfield. There are still two players supporting Kroos

343 when one CB move up n two fullbacks move down , then it rotates to 433. The 3rd CB will be a DM

Koch or Emre Can can play that role. They do that in their clubs

The key is : you don’t count Goretzka as one of the covers to Kroos’

    he is too offensive

Brandt is ok, in Dortmund he also plays as a CM in a 343.

Loew should be using Goretzka as one of the front 3 options , especially when Kroos is in midfield

so misses the March games. Talented player who could have been world class if he wasn't made of glass and too late at this point. Gotze is another world class potential who never achieved his full potential due to fitness issues.

on some + news, Kehrer started yesterday and scored the winner for PSG and Stark also played full game for Hertha. At least CBs are playing....

Did we look good? I seem to remember struggling in every match, and giving up lots of chances, while creating very few of our own.

BS. We fielded a 3-5-2 in the March 2016 friendly against Italy and the eventual game at Euro 2016 too. Both with the first row of players and we looked decent. Özil at DM btw

good compared to post WC18 where it rarely worked and we also had 60% of games with Mustafi in full 90.

compare cc17 where trash Mexico 4-1 with young players vs 1-0 loss at the wc.

Yep - germany flooded midfield in those games and Ozil+Kroos had a lot of control

Then everyone got injured and Schweini bottled it

I think Demme, Kimmich, Kroos will make a good midfield. Demme can provide some defence and toughness in midfield, he is doing pretty well in Napoli as well

Or else we will have to play Emre Can together with Kimmich and Kroos. Loew might play Emre Can as a 3rd CB in a 343 but I think it doesn’t matter too much , especially when Can can move up and help in the midfield (even he is a 3rd CB on paper)

    Team for now:

    GK) Neuer, ter Stegen, Leno

    RB) Klostermann
    CB) Rudiger, Hummels, Ginter, Sule
    LB) Halstenberg, Gosens

DM/CM) Demme, Emre Can, Kroos, Gundogan, Brandt, Kimmich

Wingers/AM) Gnabry, Sané, Reus, Havertz, Goretzka

    strikers) Timo Werner, Niederlechner

    —————————Neuer
    —Klostermann-Rudiger—Sule—-Gosens
    ————————-Demme
    ——————Kimmich—-Kroos
    ———————-Goretzka—-
    ——————Gnabry—-Werner

    or

    ————————Neuer
    —————-Rudiger——Sule
    —Klostermann———Can———-—Gosens
    ——————Kimmich—-Kroos
    ————————Goretzka
    ——————Gnabry—-Werner
