Noticed that Lot H/I on N Street isn't available on a per game basis either. I think what we are seeing is the continued development around the two stadia and the number of parking spots will shrink as "vacant" lots become high rise residence/commercial developments. What I think I'll do this year is park sometimes -- especially for night games, Metro some times and use the water taxi from Alexandria once and a while.

Metro doesn't make much sense for us. Four of us at $3.85 each way is just shy of $31 r/t and travel time is 54 minutes plus getting to Vienna and walking from the Navy Yard metro. I can park 2-3 blocks from Gate A for $40 and I don't have to worry about my wife or kids getting seats, waiting on line, etc. I haven't timed our drive, but I know it's well south of an hour. The Spot Hero lots aren't a great discount against their usual prices from what I've seen, so I'll ride my current lot all the way down until they sell their building and figure it out later.

Gee and I was condemned around here when I said that the FO were lairs and they should have had a better parking plan than, just go use the parking app.

If this keeps up their attendance is going to go in the crapper because no one will have a good and affordable way to get there.

FWIW parking in the immediate vicinity of Capital One Arena is generally a bit cheaper than near Audi Field; something like $20-$30 compared to $35-$50. To get similar prices at Audi you have to be willing to walk about 1/2 mile to 1 mile. Not really a huge deal overall.

I've parked in garages for Capitals games for about $10 before. Then again, there are a lot more options for parking near Capital One than Audi Field.

We are lucky, the template suits us. I think most of the striped or patterned looks for this template are shit. I guess my gripe with it, is that it is plain, vanilla, boring. But then again, so was our original 96 kit, even more so when it was standing there with the other team's 96 jerseys. I'll buy it for my kids, but I am holding out for the Mitchell & Ness throwbacks Pablo Mauer teased a couple of weeks ago. If they do the right 2, 3 or 4 throwback kits it could get very expensive for me.

It’s essentially the same black T-shirt we’ve had since 2008. I don’t get the love for it. Especially people calling it “retro.” I do like the red cuff. But it looks the same as 24 other jerseys in the league. At least Chicago had the balls (or just maybe forgot to participate) to go with a different template. Even something simple as moving the crest to the center would have set it apart from the rest of the crowd.

Are there new away jerseys? Or just the same white T-shirt as last year?

    Thx,

    Jay!

Period. I don't mind plain & boring. I liked the classic, and I liked the 3rd year Away jersey. Since then, the fancy designs have been up and down and mostly meh.

I've waited some 12 years for a decent jersey. Finally I can feel good enough to order one with a personalized name and number.

IMO, these are simply the best home jerseys we've had since the 2003/2003 season. I am going to shell out for one of these babies.

I love that T-shirt version of the 96 shirt they were giving away 5 years ago. I ration how often I wear it because I want to have it long down the road. My son's is an adult medium. It will be years before he wears his for the first time. I still remember how cool the 96 MLS Cup final shirt this woman I was talking to in the Champions Club at the last game at RFK was wearing.

Jersey's are on a 2 year cycle. I am sure that there have been deviations from that cycle, I know Columbus had the urinal away shirt in 2016(?) and wore black at home then swapped back to yellow as the primary, black for away/alternate and then onto the cycle with the rest of us. I think Cincy also changed up the home shirt this year too. I actually kinda like it best among the ones that didn't go with a more plain body, but still not nearly as much as their home shirt last year. As bad as the yellow was on the Columbus shirt, I really liked the contrasting shorts with it. I wish we'd wear the red shorts with this black shirt.

Imagine this jersey in white, with black/red/black stripes on the shoulder? I think I could get behind that as an away shirt. The idea that every team got a template of this shirt, this year is just awful IMO. There were 2 articles that I read which had things that stood out to me. Pablo Mauer's piece said that we had the same designer/s who did Real, Bayern, Germany, and Mexico, whose Adidas gear is some of the best looking. I can only assume that they designed the 3 shoulder stripe template and walked away. None of this holds a candle to anything those teams are currently wearing. And then there is a guy who covers the Union, wrote a piece for the Philly Inquirer where Adidas's spin on the whole league template approach made it seem like Adidas felt like this was about Adidas than the teams or the fans. NJ and DC got very similar shirts. No one can be happy about that. I wonder how many NJ will sell. A lot of the patterned designs were so not meant for this template with how prominent the plain shoulder/sleeve panels are. RSL anyone?

Keep in mind Adidas only supplied half the 96 MLS jerseys. And the only one that wasn't gaudy shit, was the one Kevin Payne drove the boat on.

I'm sure NYRB fans can't be happy their shirt looks like a DC United jersey with the Red Bulls logo on it.
