What’s the scoop on the GK, Esteban Ruiz? Does he play regularly at the club level? Any future potential to see him at senior level one day?

It was entertaining because we played really weak teams and he played a ton of attackers. Just nothing in his teams that look like smart cohesive performances and good overall teams. He relies on individual talent and plays kick and run and mainly relies on our great athletic talent, but that's never going to get us over the hump in any competition that matters.

If I remember correctly In those friendlies we were not playing kick and run and we were focusing more on the toque-toque possession.
But ever since CQ has come along we have looked more and more like that Defensive and Kick and run team which is not aesthetically appealing but I do not think it is all Reyes' fault.

Remember we had many people around here who wanted him to be the Senior Team manager. (I was not one of them at all.)

The 'strategy' kind of worked if you consider Brazil was/is the clear favorite to take 1 of the tickets to Tokyo. That being said we were sluggish where we needed to be fast and fast where we needed to slow down. I didn't like having Carrascal as the last man on top partly because he's a player that needs to be mentally sharp and involved in the game. He looked so disinterested.

Defensively, while the 'play from the back' looks great when it can be executed, we really don't have the skillset (including Ruiz) to execute that kind of play and yet Reyes insists on this process. We rarely had possession and having our boys on our side of the half limited space as there was no little room for us to effectively move as a block. Our defenders were constantly challenged. And our midfielders were not connecting and/or being pretty predictable in their passing. I'll take the 1 point but we can't really expect to play this way and win 90+ minute games.

So Uruguay scored first and Brazil scored but because of an own-goal. Brazil processes the ball more but the shots are equal in attempts and on target.

They draw and much less stress when we face Argentina later.

And that's a draw between the 2 teams. Actually a good result for us.

    A GREAT result.

I just hope we take the game to Argentina tonight, but this result might cause Reyes to play less risky...

First 15 minutes, Colombia is dominating. Wonderful opportunity fpr Carrascal. Hopefully we won't regret at the end.

Sucks no streams in the US. Tried to watch but all the streams get shut down or it’s a stream of someone taping what’s on their tv and making stupid comments( someone finally worse than the Mexicans in telemundo

Despite the lack of shots on target we had plenty of golden chances but never made it count. First half isnt bad as they clearly still have the desire to win and qualify.

Yes it did. Really pissed the ref didn't call that. And this is a tournament without VAR.
