Carlos Mendes has re-signed to be head coach and sporting director for the club. I see this a positive step. Carlos was the first player signed after the reboot. As a player and now a coach he, and Danny Szetela, are the face of the club.

The big issue with the club remains the same; it's about the stadium. I would hope the club has not given up on Brooklyn, Coney Island or elsewhere. Rocco is building a deluxe training center for Fiorentina [and trying to build a new stadium]; in truth we need that investment in the Cosmos as well.

As expected Danny Szetela [32 years old] re-signs with Cosmos. The clubs says that the team will be a mix of veterans and young players.

NISA on Friday postponed the Independent Mid-Atlantic region tournament.

The league said it was due to the outbreak of COVID-19 in Maryland and the subsequent closing of the Maryland SoccerPlex to professional sports.

NISA is reviewing proposals in adjacent counties and states to reschedule the tournament.

Cosmos, New Amsterdam FC, Maryland Bobcats FC and FC Baltimore Christos are slated to participate

Rocco is totally focused on Fiorentina, can't blame him. He is building a new major training center and wants to build a stadium. I'm guessing 40k plus [current stadium is 43K] so larger than a MLS SSS. He needs both attract the quality of player that he wants to bring to the club. He can afford to do both clubs and he may have intended to do so but....things have changed.
