Atlanta United signs midfielder Matheus Rossetto (23 year old Brazilian from Athletico Paranaense): https://www.atlutd.com/post/2020/02/03/atlanta-united-signs-brazilian-midfielder-matheus-rossetto
Reading rumors that Inter Miami are still pursuing Modric and Cavani for this season - and they're close to landing Pizarro. Probably a pipe dream... but let's say they could get all three, when they already have a 19 year old DP in Pellegrini. Do you think MLS would make it happen, for the better of the league, the way they did in the past for the Galaxy? Or would MLS say no to Modric, or Cavani, to an owner willing to splash like that in a market they badly want to get off the ground? Anyone familiar with the players union discussion think teams could possibly gain a young DP spot, in addition to the three DP's? Could Inter Miami's roster building impact the CBA negotiations in real time?
P.S. This guy's 31... would be their third DP. https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2020...ol-winger-pablo-piatti-linked-toronto-fc-move
At this point it is all a pipe dream. Inter Miami wants everyone and their mother yet haven't purchased anyone. Wasn't it reported that Cavani was asking around 11 million-3 year contract to come to LA? Who knows how much Modric will ask but either way, no MLS team is paying that amount for either Modric or Cavani. At least not yet.

RSL has officially signed Justin Meram, and apparently also Guiseppe Rossi. Third signing of the day was a 17 year old, Chris Garcia, to a Homegrown deal.
As long as he can still finish at a decent rate he'd be ok as a late sub in a game where you need someone in the box that can put one away. I'd assume they would have everyone else on offense do the hard work for him. Also, depending on his mentality part of it may be as a mentor for the younger players. Coaching only takes players so far and sometimes they need a player that has been around the block to set them straight during training.
Rapids sign 17-year old GK Abe Rodriguez to a homegrown contract. Abe signed with the Colorado Springs Switchbacks last season.

As expected, the Rapids signed first round draft pick Jeremy Kelly to a one year deal plus team option years today
Neither deal is complete yet, but DC United are expected to: A) Sign former Crew defensive midfielder Mohammed Abu on a 1-year free loan from Vålerenga, likely minimum salary deal. B) Sign former Crew attacking midfielder Federico Higuaín to a player/assistant coach contract. Likely paying him around $100,000 as a player, also paying him as an assistant coach, to be used as a role player and spot starter.
Guiseppe Rossi officially signed with Real Salt Lake. No details yet - or word on who is no longer on the roster so there's a spot for him. It was rumored to be around $550k with lots if incentives. I have to admit, that from skepticism I moved to really enjoying watching him in preseason.
First team Homegrown Signing #28 at FC Dallas is done: 𝙏𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙧 𝙏𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙣 𝙞𝙨 𝙃𝙤𝙢𝙚. 😍@frantanjam5#DTID | #SomosFCD pic.twitter.com/HJ025IYjEH— FC Dallas (@FCDallas) February 27, 2020 Believe it or not, Tanner Tessman choosing FCD over Clemson is currently one of the "top headlines" on ESPN's main page. Keen MLS fans will remember the opposite. Young FCD goalkeeper and USYNTer Josh Lambo chose to go to Texas A&M to become a place kicker. He currently kicks for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Even longer term MLS fans will remember USYNTer Devin Barclay leaving the Crew to become a place kicker. He ended up starting for Ohio State. But here we have a kid choosing to stay in MLS. There are rumors that not only will he be in the 18 this weekend for FCD...............he might start. Pomykal and Servania are both unavailable. https://www.espn.com/college-sports...-tessmann-opts-sign-fc-dallas-kicking-clemson Clemson does return starting kicker B.T. Potter, but Swinney said he was looking forward to working with Tessmann as well. "He's one of the best athletes," Swinney said in December. "He could go play D-I basketball. He could probably start at receiver at Clemson. He could probably play safety at Clemson. He's a 6-foot-2 phenom. He can fly. He's as good athlete as I've ever seen."
I'm too lazy to start an in-season thread so I'm posting this here. 📰 We have reached agreement with @impactmontreal for the transfer of @VictorWanyama. We wish Victor all the best for the future. #THFC ⚪️ #COYS— Tottenham Hotspur (@SpursOfficial) March 3, 2020
